If you told me that three years ago, I would have told you to

…shut yo mouth! Ain’t nobody got time for that.

You see, when I started ever pursuing the idea of being my own boss back in 2014, joining other network marketing companies to add another income stream was a big NO NO.

They would say that it was impossible to promote two companies at the same time.

But… you know the saying “never put all your eggs in one basket?”

Well in network marketing, they did the opposite and encouraged it.

At the time it did make sense and I told myself that

sometimes it is best to focus on one thing at a time.

But… And There Is Always A But

As I moved on to other things I realised that I was capable of creating other income streams for myself and it was not such a bad thing.

I understood that sometimes you have to prepare yourself for the unpredictable. Financial security is a concern for most of us and the average person wants that protection for their family and their future.

If you have a job, what would you do if you were suddenly fired the next day?

With no income coming in, how would you pay the mortgage and the bills?

This is why it is so important to have that back up plan. Some people’s jobs are already demanding and to think of adding extra work can be a tedious thought.

But regardless, it is so crucial to the continuation of cash flow that you have another income stream that you can rely on if one fails.

Here Are 10 Ways To Create Multiple Streams Of Income 

1. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to create multiple streams of income.

|Blogs or Websites

If you have a blog or website, you can join affiliate networks to find products that you can review on your own website. If you do not want to do a review, then you can write blog posts where the product is the subject of the post.

For example, you may choose to join a fashion affiliate network and write a blog post about Fashionable Outfits for The Millennial Male Or Female. Within that post you can then recommend a few fashion pieces selected from the affiliate network where if the viewer clicks on the product and makes a purchase, you will receive a commission.

Some of my favourite affiliate networks are:

• ShareASale
• Panthera
• CJ Affiliate By Conversant (Formerly Commission Junction)
• Rakuten Marketing
• Amazon Associates

In order to start earning from these affiliate networks, you must sign up to them. Once inside you can search for any product that you want to promote then simply write a blog post and mention the product and offer your readers to try the product. Do not forget to include your affiliate link within the post.

|YouTube

Another good place to use affiliate links is on YouTube. If you have a YouTube channel you can always speak to your viewers about the products and recommend it to them.

A great way of promoting affiliate products on YouTube is by doing product reviews. This will of course require you to purchase the product before hand so you can use it, test it and finally give an honest opinion about the product.

If you are an affiliate for a digital product, like a training course, you can do a walk through of the product, showing your viewers what’s inside the course and what they will learn.

A lot of people love testimonials so this acts as a benefit to both you and the viewer – it’s a win win.

|What You Should Know About Affiliate Networks

The great thing about affiliate networks is that they are free to join. If you do decide to join any of the networks mentioned above, be sure that you have a proper blog or website created with content on it, as the affiliate managers do check them before they approve your application.

|Affiliate Programs

If blogging or having a website is not your thing then you can consider joining an affiliate program. An affiliate program is a stand alone company that allows you to promote their products directly and gives you all the tools and training you need to get started.

What I like about affiliate programs is that you can promote your affiliate link on any social media platforms, recommend the product to friends or family or you can learn how to send a lot of people to your affiliate link so that they may purchase the product if they choose to. Blogging or having a website is not necessary.

In order to promote affiliate programs however, you must own the product. That would therefore entail purchasing the company’s product. Sometimes this can start from as low as $5 and go all the way up to $5000 or even $10,000.

The good side to this is that you get a percentage of the sale when you refer someone to purchase the product. This can be anywhere from 50% up to 100% of the purchase price.

It is a great idea to purchase the company’s product because you can use the product and give honest recommendations to other people which may influence their buying decision.

Get The Step By Step Guide To Making Money Online

2. Write An E-book

Writing an e-book that contains content related to your niche can be a very successful way of producing another income stream that generates income passively.

However, there is a lot of work in the beginning that goes into creating an e-book.

But, it is not as hard as you think. Anyone can create an e-book, upload it to Amazon and sell it.

Firstly you need to have some creative thought in what goes into the e-book. Your e-book can be on any topic but you want to be sure that it is a topic that people are searching for or need help with.

Once you have made up your mind as to content, you can create a PDF document from a Microsoft Word file.

You can then upload your content on Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing and put it for sale. If you are using Amazon be sure to look at the prices of other e-books in similar categories so that your price can remain competitive.

If you do not want to use Amazon, you can sell your e-book on your own website (if you have one) or make an arrangement for an affiliate network to host your book so that affiliates can promote it for you.

3. Sell Your Own Products On The Internet

Like the e-book idea, selling your own product is another way that you can generate an income passively.

It can be any type of product that you want, although the most successful products are those that help solve people’s problems.

Your product can be a physical product or a digital product and come in many different forms – a book, a DVD, a CD or software.

You can sell your product on your own website if you have one or arrange an affiliate agreement with an affiliate network to host your product for you.

4. Create A Blog And Monetise It

Blogging seems to be very popular and for good reason as many bloggers are making passive income from their content.

In order to make money from a blog you can monetise it with affiliate marketing as I mentioned above. A blog can be in any subject area but to ensure that it is successful you should focus on a blog niche that is highly profitable as not all blogs are created equal.

Here are six blog niches which are the most profitable and from which you can earn a full time income if it is created well:

• How to make money
• Personal finance
• Health and fitness
• Romance and dating
• Beauty and Fashion
• Hobbies and Activities

You can also monetise a blog with ads from Google Adsense. You must apply to Google in order for ads to appear on your blog or website.

One word of caution though, Google Adsense will only approve your application when you have a decent amount of traffic running to your blog.

If you do not want to use Google Adsense, you can also sell advertising on your blog depending on the amount of traffic it is getting. To sell advertising on your blog or website, you can use the website Buy Sell Ads which allow you to promote your own website for advertising gigs.

There are people who will pay you to place their own ads on a site that is receiving a good amount of traffic with the expectation that doing so will drive traffic to their own sites and offers.

5. Set Up A Store

Setting up an online store is really not hard. In my article How To Start An Online Clothing Store, I walk through the set up process with you step by step.

There are companies like Shopify, Woocommerce or Ebay, that make it easier than ever to launch your own store.

By selling products that people are passionate about and looking for, can help you to generate substantial revenue.

|Dropshipping

If you are worried about having to stock inventory or post items to customers then you may want to use the dropshipping model when operating your store.

Dropshipping is an eCommerce arrangement where you agree with a supplier to provide and ship the product to your customer on your behalf. This removes the requirement to hold inventory or worry about the shipping process as it is done for you by the dropshipper.

Whilst this model makes running an online store more effortless, getting started and building a profitable eCommerce business is a lot of work. I am not saying this to discourage you, but rather to manage your expectations. At the end of the day, nothing great comes easy right?!

6. Create An Online Course

Do you know how to do something and can teach it to other people?

Then think about how you can generate revenue for yourself with an online course.

There are many programs like Clickfunnels, that allow you to build out a website easily with drag and drop features, upload training videos and prepare your course ready for release.

I recently found a website called Teachable that also allows you to create online courses effortlessly. Teachable provides the platform for you to upload your content and easily integrate payment processors so your students can pay for your course.

What can you put in your course?

Anything that you can teach other people basically. It can include video “How To” lessons, mini e-books, audio lessons, checklists for completing steps recommended in your videos or expert interviews.

The opportunities are endless.

Now whilst the idea of creating a course is the easiest thing that anyone can do, it is a lot of work in the beginning.

You have to prepare course materials and video content but hey, after all the hard work comes the easy part. Simply promote the course on the internet and generate an income passively.

7. Freelancing

If you can do certain tasks for other people and get paid, then why not?

Websites like Upwork, Fiverr or Elance allow you to promote yourself for jobs that other people want completed.

If you are creative or have a special skill or talent, set your own rates and get yourself hired.

Whilst this is not a passive income source, you can earn a decent income to get cash flow running by which time you will be able to fund other income opportunities to create more passive wealth.

8. Build An App

Almost everyone has a smartphone.

Why not take advantage of this and build an app that helps people solve a problem and make their lives easier.

There are billions of app downloads everyday.

If you know nothing about building an app you can hire a developer to do the job for you. The outlay might be expensive but if you have a professional-looking app that helps people, think about the profits you can make.

An app is just one of those products that you can put on the internet, like Apple Itunes or Google Play and generate massive income passively.

9. Start A YouTube Channel

300 hours of video are uploaded to You Tube every minute and there are 32.5 billion hours of video watched every month.

Many people are turning to YouTube to create an income.

How YouTube works, you upload videos that people want to see.

In fact, any type of video can generate tons of interest helping you earn an income.

You must also enable Google Adsense on your channel so that if someone clicks on an ad, you get paid.

The type of videos that are popular these days are music videos, how-to videos, comedy videos, lifestyle videos.

The key will be to create as many videos as possible to attract an audience of people who come back to your channel so that you can create a decent income.

10. Sell Your Pictures

Do you like photography? Well sites like Shutterstock or Canva allow you to use their platforms to sell your photographs to users who are looking for visual displays.

A single image can generate a passive income for you if it is being used over and over by millions of users across the web.

The good thing is, you only have to do the work once and then let the platforms do the heavy lifting for you.

Facebook is one of the best social media platforms you can tap into, to start making money with it. 

It is one of those places where most people log into in the morning and spend most of their time there, hanging out with their friends and socialising.  According to SimilarWeb, there are over 20 billion visitors to Facebook per month. 2.23 billion of them are active users and spend approximately 43 minutes per day viewing content. 

So with this data, how then can you make money posting ads on Facebook, where your target audience is hanging out in large numbers? 

One has to remember, that when you post ads to Facebook, you make money by the people who see your ads, click on it and take action.

This blog post will teach you, how to make money posting ads on the different platforms on Facebook, whether it be using videos, by creating a Facebook page, in Facebook groups, with Instagram ads and finally my best arsenal, how to make money with Facebook ads as an affiliate marketer.

How can one earn money with a Facebook page 

Before I start on this chapter, I want to help you understand the difference between a Facebook page and your Facebook profile. 

|What is a Facebook page?

A Facebook page is a public profile created for businesses, brands, celebrities, causes, products and other organisations. With a Facebook page, you get likes and followers and unlike a personal profile, you do not gain “friends”. 

As part of Facebook’s Terms of Service, if you are a business, whether that is a for-profit or non-profit business, you are required to create a page as opposed to a personal profile. 

Even as an individual, you can create a Facebook page and post content as yourself.

You can grow a Facebook page to a large number of likes and followers. In fact, there is no cap to the number of likes or followers you can have with a Facebook page. 

|What is a Facebook profile?

A Facebook profile however is a personal account where you can interact with “Facebook friends” and provide updates, upload videos, post pictures and maintain a friend’s list. According to Facebook’s Terms of Service, a Facebook profile should not be used for business to make money from it. 

Instead you should create a Facebook page. 

Facebook profiles can only have a maximum of 5000 friends. 

If you would like to make money, I recommend creating a Facebook page. Let’s see how you can do that. 

Making money with a Facebook page can be done organically or if you really want to get the best results, you can make money using paid advertisements. 

That is because, in 2014, the ability to reach your Facebook page’s audience organically started declining. So instead of being able to create a post and reach most of your audience with a Facebook page, page owners now had to pay Facebook to reach their own audience.

Also, unless you have viral content, growing a Facebook page organically will take time and a lot of effort on your part. 

Which is why I recommend spending a few dollars on advertising to grow your page and then monetising your followers. This is actually how I was able to grow one of my Facebook pages to over 9000 page likes by spending less than $100 and then posting ads for an affiliate product to that audience.

Here’s what I did. 

For this strategy, I will show you how to use the Facebook Ads platform, using video, to grow your page quickly. 

Depending on the niche that you would like to grow your page in, go to YouTube and select a video that has a high viewership with a Creative Commons license. A Creative Common license allows you to use the video content freely, so you can share, use and build upon it, without any copyright issues. 

To find this video, using YouTube’s filter feature, select Creative Commons under Features and View Count under Sort By. 

You also want to select a video that is not too long. This isn’t absolutely necessary but shorter videos work better. 

So let’s say that my niche is Karate, this is what my results would look like. 

You then want to find a video that has a high viewership, more than 500k views is better. With a viewership that high, it gives it a better chance of going viral on Facebook and therefore having a good chance at generating likes to your page that cost pennies or even less than a penny.

Once you have that video, you start by creating your Facebook page. A few tips for starting a Facebook page: 

1. The title of the page should be niche-related. So if you intend to post ads that will sell a karate product, for example, then a title should be Karate-related. For example, Karate Techniques or Best Karate Techniques. By doing so, it will help you create a targeted audience that likes Karate-related material. 
2. Create a Facebook page profile picture. It does not need to be professional. You can create an image using a free design tool like Canva. Your image can be a logo or even an individual’s face. 
3. Create a Facebook cover photo.
4. Post some niche-related content on the page, to give visitors the impression that the page is active.

Once your Facebook page is created, it’s time to create a Facebook ad. 

Using the video views and engagement objective in the Facebook ad platform, create two campaigns targeting very broad interest groups that are niche-related. Your audience reach should be more than 1 million.

Pro-tip: Stack your interests so they create a very targeted group of people. 

Then using the video that you got from YouTube, create an ad with that video. You can use your own headline in the ad or use the headline provided by YouTube. 

Do not place any links in the ad as the purpose here is not to sell anything. The purpose here is to try to get the video to get a lot of shares, views and engagement, which will help your ad go viral and can thus generate thousands of likes from Facebook users for a very cheap cost. 

Just as I was able to achieve when I used this same strategy to grow my Facebook fan page to over 9000 likes for less than $100.

If you are successful in getting your video ad to go viral and your page has grown rapidly, start by monetising your followers, by posting valuable content that is related to your niche and include some product-related content as well to help you make money. 

This is a great strategy that I use to create viral content and make money by posting ads to my Facebook pages.  

How do people make money from posting Facebook videos

There are certain videos on the internet that have such an appeal, that viewers share them. 

When this happens, a video has the potential to go viral. It is during this virality that you have the chance to make money by posting videos on Facebook. 

But what is an effective method to make this work for you? 

Well from the paragraph above, where I wrote about how to make money with Facebook pages, you will follow that strategy to find videos on YouTube, that have the potential to go viral. 

Once you have done that, create a video and engagement campaign, targeting a very broad audience. 

If you only want to use videos to help you make money, I suggest that you find at least ten videos that have virality potential and test each of those videos on the Facebook ads platform. 

When starting the ad, make sure that you do not include any product links or affiliate links in your video. The aim is to not deter viewers from sharing your content. 

Although this should be tested, my view is that if there is a link in a post, it makes people more aware of it and thereby less likely to share your content. 

Only once the video has gotten a ton of engagement and views, then it will be a good idea to edit your post and include your product or affiliate link in it. 

If your goal is to make money, the link that you post here should either go to your own product or you can find a niche-related affiliate product that will make sense to the viewer. 

In fact, you can also use this strategy as a way to generate leads, to go through a funnel, that then leads to the sale of some product. 

This is another great strategy to get you as many views of your video for a small amount of money. 

When content goes viral, even if it is backed by an ad, there will be an element of organic reach that you will not be paying for. This is the power of making something go viral, since you get to reach more people for free.  

How to make money posting ads on Facebook

So far in this blog post I have shared with you how to make money on Facebook with a Facebook page and from posting videos. Whilst these are methods that you can use in your overall strategy, to make money on Facebook, if you are looking for some free methods, here is how you can leverage your personal Facebook profile to make money. 

This method will require consistency and more effort than if you were to purchase advertising, since the goal here will be to work with Facebook’s algorithm so that your content can reach your “audience”. 

The audience here is your friends’ list, although I would like you to know that Facebook does not expect you to make money using your personal profile and this is against their terms of service.

Therefore take caution when trying this method. 

On my own Facebook personal profile timeline, I have a lot of marketers who are “friends”. They sell their products to me all the time. Some sell it attractively, others sell it not so attractively. 

An unattractive and unappealing method to posting ads on your personal profile, is spamming people, whether on their timeline or in their messenger, without any value behind the post. 

In other words, do not just “drop links and run”

When people come to Facebook, they are there to socialise and interact with you as a Facebook friend, see pictures of your lifestyle, the things you love and what you get up to. 

They are not there to be bombarded by ads. 

So if you are using your Facebook personal profile to post ads to make money, a better way to do this is to post helpful, attractive, inspiring or motivating content that people can use or learn from. 

Some great ways to do this are: 

• If you are posting ads for a business opportunity, post pictures of your lifestyle, your family and experiences and tell a story of what your business opportunity has done for you and how it has gotten you to where you are today. 
• If you are posting ads for a health or beauty offer, post pictures of how you used the product and the type of results you achieved, how the product made you feel and tell a story of why you would recommend the product. 
• If you are posting ads for a gadget, post pictures of how the gadget made your life easier or tell a story of what the gadget has done for you, so other people can resonate with your story and feel more compelled to click on any links that you share to the product.  

Storytelling and images telling a story, really help your “friends” connect with you and pay attention to you. This is the type of attraction you want to use when posting ads on your Facebook personal profile.

How do people make money using Facebook groups

In the 2019 F8 Conference, Mark Zuckerberg mentioned Facebook’s intention to shift the focus to groups. 

A Facebook group is a place where people can share communication based on similar interests in one setting. A Facebook group allows people to come together to share a common cause or objective, or simply learn from each other. 

I consider Facebook groups to be a private setting where you can build very close relationships with participants and also monetise the group so you can make money from it. 

|Creating Your Own Facebook Group

When you are getting started with Facebook groups, your intention should not be to make money instantly. 

Facebook groups and in fact any of the methods that I mentioned here, are not get-rich-quick methods. 

These strategies take time and where Facebook groups are concerned, your goal should be to build a relationship, so that people can get to know more about you, like you and trust you. 

You want them to trust your ability to help them solve their problems and you want to make recommendations to help them solve their problems. 

If you would like to use Facebook groups as a way to make money posting ads, then here is what you can do: 

1. Decide what interests you would like to explore before you start your group. 
2. Select an affiliate product or create your own product, that you would like to recommend to group members to purchase, so you can make money.
3. Create content that will help participants solve their problems 
4. Recommend your affiliate products or your own products and make money

Number 3 should be the one thing that you do consistently, to break down any walls that participants may have when they enter your group. 

You should aim to share as much free content as you can, before you post any ads in your group to make money. 

This way, people will get accustomed to seeing your content and building trust with you as a source of information. 

|Leveraging Public Groups

If you do not want to create your own group, you can leverage public groups created by other people. 

To make this work however, you first of all need to have permission to post your ads in the group and most importantly, you need to test and see whether the group delivers results. 

For this method, I recommend that you find at least ten niche-related groups, which give you permission to post your own content. The groups should have a large number of participants – over 20k participants is ideal. 

Make a note of the name of the group and include the Facebook group link in your notes. 

Because these groups do not belong to you, you must test them to see how effective they are in producing your desired results. There are two ways you can do this and there are a few tools you will need to set up and prepare for this strategy. 

Tools you will need: 

• Landing page builder like LeadPages or Clickfunnels. Click this link to read my review of both builders and decide which one suits you.
• Tracking tool like Clickmagick or your affiliate network’s own tracking system.
• Email autoresponder like Aweber. Click this link to read my review of Aweber.

With your landing page builder, I recommend that you create a lead generation funnel to generate leads that then divert to the product offer. 

You can use Clickmagick to create tracking links for each Facebook group. The tracking link should redirect to the landing page that you have designed for the funnel. 

By using Clickmagick, you will be able to see which Facebook group delivers the most leads and because you have collected email addresses, you will then be able to follow up with your leads to warm them up to the product. 

The Facebook group that delivers the most leads, is the one that you can now spend more time promoting your offer to, since you have taken the time to test the effectiveness of the Facebook groups in providing responsive leads. 

If you did not take this step, you could waste time and should you make any money posting ads, you would not know which Facebook group, helped you make money. 

If you want to skip the funnel entirely, then use your affiliate network’s tracking to track the effectiveness of each Facebook group.

Taking these extra steps, to track your progress, really helps you to eliminate the bad eggs.

How can I make a lot of money with Facebook Instagram ads

Instagram has its own audience, different from Facebook. Because Instagram is a more visual platform, you can use it to promote different types of products that may perform better than if you were on the Facebook platform. 

Also, consider that Instagram has a younger demographic with typical interests in entertainment, arts, beauty, fashion, games, travel, etc.

One really great way to make a lot of money with Instagram, is using their Story ads to promote CPA (cost per action) offers.

Instagram Story ads display an image that gives users the call to action, to swipe up to see more of an offer. 

If you are a part of an affiliate network, like Maxbounty, you can select sweepstake type offers or survey offers, that pay you a commission if someone makes an entry into the sweepstake or signs up to complete a survey. 

These type of offers do really well and is one of the ways I was able to make over $1000 in less than two weeks with Maxbounty.

If you are using this method, be careful, since promoting sweepstake offers on Instagram can be risky and may go against Facebook’s Terms of Services. 

You really can promote any offer with Instagram ads. It is simply a matter of you testing the performance of the offer with the Instagram audience, to see if it converts.

How can I make money with Facebook ads and affiliate marketing

Facebook ads is a powerful platform that helps you to target a group of people, who may be interested in a product, so you can encourage them to buy.

The Facebook ads interface, allows you to find targeted groups of people, through their detailed targeting feature and more importantly, you can target those people who are more likely to buy your affiliate offer or take a specific action, so you can earn a commission from your affiliate offer. 

Whilst there are many affiliate offers that you can promote with Facebook ads, the two networks that I would recommend you join, to find appropriate Facebook-complaint offers are Clickbank and Maxbounty. 

The Clickbank marketplace contains a number of digital and physical products that you can use to make money from. 

Some of the best performing niches on Clickbank include weight loss, dating, survival or DIY.

With the internet being our best friend these days, and being able to conduct transactions online in the click of a button, there are many ways that you can now make $1000 in a week using online marketing methods. 

This blog post will share with you ten ways that work today, to help you easily make $1000 in a week. 

I just want to backtrack a little, for when I use the word “easily”, I do not mean that it is easy to get started, but if you implement the steps, you can earn $1000 quickly without a huge effort and without spending a ton of time. 

Most of these methods, I have used at some point in my online marketing career, so I know that it works. I am sharing with you the ways in which you can make $1000 in a week and the resources to help you get there. 

All you will need to do, is to pick one or two, focus on mastering the skills for those two ways, and you will have the potential to increase your income by $1000. 

Let’s get started. 

Affiliate Marketing 

I wouldn’t be a true affiliate marketer, if this was not the first method that I would recommend, to making $1000 within a week. 

Affiliate marketing is a lucrative way to make money these days, but it is a skill that you must learn in order to be successful at it. 

I certainly don’t want to paint the lie, that you can easily set up a campaign and make $1000 in a week, especially if you are a beginner to affiliate marketing; although this happens with very few people.

Whilst it is possible to make $1000 in a week for an experienced affiliate marketer, to a beginner, there is a learning curve and that learning curve takes some time to straighten out.

In a nutshell, it is the ability to promote someone else’s product or services and in exchange for sending quality conversions like a lead, sale, phone call or app install, you are paid a commission. 

Let’s say that if an affiliate offer pays you $100 for referring customers to their website, all you will need to do is find 10 qualified people and you would have made $1000 already.

Ecommerce with Shopify or Woocommerce

Dropshipping is the easiest way to do ecommerce and make $1000 in a week, so you do not have to spend time sourcing stock, holding inventory, fulfilling orders or going to the post office to ship orders. 

Dropshipping is the provision of goods by direct delivery from the manufacturer or supplier of that product, to the customer. So you as the ecom store owner, are not involved in the delivery of the product. 

You are only involved with the transaction details and customer service aspect. 

If you were to set up an ecommerce store using Shopify or Woocommerce, you will need to find a supplier to provide the specific product you’d like to sell in your store. 

You will also need to ensure that there is an agreement between you and the supplier, to ship the product to the consumer. 

Lastly, there are so many marketplaces that you can promote your ecommerce store on. Marketplaces like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, Microsoft Bing and even Amazon; because at the end of the day, if you have no traffic going to your store, you will not make that $1000 in a week.

Social Media Agency

If dealing with customers or selling products is not appealing to you, you may prefer to deal one-on-one with clients. This is where having your own agency or being a social media marketing freelancer may be an ideal scenario for you. 

This option allows you to build a clientele and offer specific services for social media platforms, such as posting content, monitoring and managing comments from business’ fans, creating and setting up marketing campaigns for ads, etc. 

If this is an area where perhaps you have managed your own social media account successfully and you would like a way to earn an extra $1000 in a week, then you may wish to offer this as a service. 

To get started with this option, you will need to find a way to get clients first of all. There are many ways to get social media clients that range from Facebook business groups, from your own social media profile, from your local chamber of commerce, from networking events and even from running your own advertising campaigns on these very same platforms. 

Sometimes starting your own social media agency and getting your first client, can be scary and you may need a guiding hand. 

For that reason, I would recommend the Freelancer Roadmap by Julie Stoian. In this course you will learn how the freelancer/agency model sets you up for success in the marketplace, how to attract leads using sales funnels and convert those leads into six-figures for your business and how to book yourself with an email list, using free Facebook marketing methods.

Freelance Writer 

There are over a million blogs on the internet, and that means that there are over a million bloggers. 

With such a huge market, you are able to offer your services as a freelance writer to bloggers who simply have no time to write their own blog posts.

This was actually how Chris Kostopoulos was able to start his freelance business and go on to make over $3000 in less than 3 months.

If he was able to make over $3000 in less than 3 months, with a bit more work and effort, you can hit your goal of $1000 in a week. 

The good thing about starting as a freelance writer, is that you do not need any experience. Of course a good command of English is necessary, if your intention is to pitch to English-speaking blog owners. 

To get started as a freelance writer, it is good to pick a niche that you’d like to command, then search for and pitch to bloggers in that specific niche. 

There is a lot more to starting on the right way to freelance writing, so I recommend Elna Cain’s freelance writing course, Write Your Way to $1k, to help you get started. 

This is the exact course that Chris Kostopoulos used to get started.

He says “I had no idea how to write for the web when I bought it. Also, my English was on average (maybe even below) level. Website Designer 

With the emergence of so many website templates on WordPress and done for you websites, it is easy to offer website design services as a beginner and make your first $1000 in a week, without any experience.

I have seen website designers claim to watch YouTube tutorials to learn how to install and design a website, then go out and offer their skills as a service. 

So if they can do that, why can’t you.  

Website design is one of those services where you can justifiably charge upwards of $25,000 for one client. It is a very profitable skill to have.

So if you decided that you wanted to charge $1000 per web design client, then this might be easy money to make. 

The hard part however is finding the clients and this is where it will take some time to actually go out into a marketplace and pitch your services. 

It will also be a great idea to have your own website which you can use as a portfolio, so you can show the type of work you do. If you already have client work, be sure to display other work you have done, to help you close leads faster.

Pinterest Virtual Assistant 

A Pinterest virtual assistant is someone who provides Pinterest marketing assistance to business owners. 

This type of assistance can include designing pins, pinning to Pinterest, creating Pinterest accounts and growing those accounts, getting followers to the account, getting clicks to pins and ultimately getting traffic to offers or blog posts. 

Working with Pinterest is simple, if you know how to navigate the platform and most importantly how it works to drive traffic. Also there are many online business owners, who do not have the time to manage their accounts and would gladly pay a virtual assistant to take it over for them. 

As a Pinterest virtual assistant, consider creating packages that focus on the above tasks. 

Hourly rates are also a great pricing strategy. 

You may need to secure at least two to four clients per week, to reach your income goal of $1000 a week.

Virtual Assistant 

Then there is the virtual assistant. A virtual assistant is someone who provides basic administrative tasks to business owners, regardless of the niche. 

Such administrative tasks can include customer service tasks, responding to emails and social media comments, spreadsheet and document management, internet research as well as any specific task that the business owner wants. 

Typically no experience is needed as a virtual assistant. 

If you do want to make $1000 a week, then you may have to secure at least four clients to reach that income goal. There are some virtual assistants who can easily charge $1000 a week per client, but this is dependent on their client avatar and whether you can target a market of high-paying clients.

Where can you go to find prospects to pitch to? 

You can find virtual assistant clients in Facebook groups, on LinkedIn, you can do cold emailing or you can advertise your services. 

If you are thinking of pitching your services here are a few tips to get started: 

1. Search job boards or freelance marketplaces like Upwork or People Per Hour for prospects
2. Taking a course can give you a competitive advantage, since you can learn from someone who has had success in their line of work and use it to emphasise your unique qualities
3. Create a website to demonstrate seriousness about your career choice and professionalism
4. Consider offering Virtual Assistant services for free, so you can get reviews. Then use those reviews as leverage to gain higher-paying clients.

Course Creator 

Do you have a skill or knowledge that you can package and turn into an online course? Online courses seem to have had the biggest impact in the online marketing arena, with course creators marketing their skills and profiting from it. 

Online courses that are well put together and provide an overwhelming amount of value, can easily sell for $997 or more. You might think that this is a high price for an online course, but if the skill you are selling provides a great return on investment, then there is no reason why prospects would not choose to invest. 

Of course, it is your goal as the course creator, to create content that shows why your course is beneficial to the prospect, how other people have used it to improve their lives and how your skills have improved your own life. 

If selling a course for $997 or more creates anxiety or uncertainty, then you may want to consider taking a course that teaches you how to create a signature, high-ticket program. 

These types of courses, will teach you how to market your skills, how to package it, how to use sales copy to sell the course, how to market and promote the course, amongst other important tasks that will set you in the right direction. 

Sell Ebooks 

Like online courses, ebooks are another online mini course, that you can create based off your skill or knowledge. 

In fact, ebooks is one of the ways that I am able to make monetise this blog and if planned properly, can even make you $1000 in a week. 

I had my first ebook product launch last year and I generated over $1400 in two weeks. With better planning, I am certain I would have been able to generate $1000 in a week. Click here to see a copy of my first paid ebook. 

Because ebooks have a lower price threshold, that means you will need to sell at least 15 – 25 ebooks in a week, if you valued your ebook at $37 or more. Any value lower than $37, you will need to sell more of them, to reach your income goal. 

To sell ebooks, you must have a robust marketing plan, that includes knowing the type of knowledge you want to sell, how you will create and design your ebook, how to get traffic to your ebook product and how to sell to your audience, to convert them into buyers of your ebook. 

If you know how to do this, selling ebooks is a simple, worthwhile venture that you can do over and over again and continue to use as an income stream in your business. 

Online Consultant or Coach 

An online consultant or coach is another high-paying service that you can offer with huge benefits. 

That’s because if you are teaching a profitable and marketable skill, where your prospects can quickly have a return on their investment, then it makes it rewarding to them, to invest in your services. 

As a coach you can charge upwards of $500 per hour for your time. I have also seen some coaches charge upwards of $900 per hour for their time. 

Depending on how you value your time, there is no limit to your income potential and certainly, if you have proven results, then there is no reason why you will not be able to command a high price and still convert prospects into clients.

Whilst placing a value on your coaching or consultant skills is easy, finding clients may be difficult. For that reason, my blog post How to Find High Paying Coaching Clients will give you some great ideas you can explore to get you started. 

Hopefully once you have implemented the steps you will be on your way to making $1000 in a week.

There you have it. Ten ways that are currently working in today’s marketplace, that can help you generate $1000 in a week. Whilst it is easy to say you can make $1000 in a week, it does matter that you have a good plan and strategy for creating this type of income, plus the skills to justify the income. 

As with anything, whilst most of the opportunities do not require that you have experience, it is always advantageous to you, to invest in yourself and so taking a course or even investing in a mentor is the right way to get one step ahead.

As an affiliate marketer, the one thing that you need to have a good command of, is how to get traffic to your affiliate marketing campaigns. 

I typically use Facebook ads for my affiliate marketing campaigns, but recently, Facebook has been making it extremely difficult for affiliates to promote their offers, so I decided to give an alternative traffic source a try. 

That alternative traffic source is Microsoft Ads, formerly known as Bing Ads. 

I have been using Bing Ads since 2017/2018. If you know how to use Google Adwords, then using Bing Ads to drive traffic to your affiliate marketing campaigns should be no different. 

Bing Ads, is simply less popular than Google Adwords and so the amount of traffic available is on a smaller scale, but that does not mean that the traffic is not good. 

The traffic here is of a quality level and in this blog post, I will show you how you can also use Bing Ads to drive traffic to your affiliate marketing campaigns. 

If you decide to learn Bing Ads marketing, it will be another method to getting traffic, which in my opinion is a good skill to have. 

Here’s what you will learn:

What is Bing Ads

For those of you who do not know of, or have never heard of Bing Ads, it is an advertising platform that is owned by the technology company, Microsoft Corporation. 

If you use the Microsoft search engines, instead of the Google search engines, then you will often see search results that have an “Ad” tag next to the result. 

This is an advertisement that has been created by either the owner of a product or an affiliate. 

Next time you search for something using the Microsoft search engines, pay attention to the advertisements that you see. 

Anything without the “Ad” tag is an organic search result. Other than that, it is paid for by the promoter of the advertisement. 

This is what I am going to teach you how to set up, for your affiliate marketing campaigns, so that when a user searches for keywords, they can find your affiliate offers and potentially help you get paid. 

How to Join Bing Ads

In order to create these type of advertisements, you first of all need to join Microsoft as an advertiser. To do that, click here. You will also get $100 for the first $25 you spend as a new advertiser to Microsoft. 

When you get to their website, click the Sign Up Now button. 

You will need a Microsoft account, so if you already have a Microsoft webmail address, such as hotmail.com, live.com, msn.com, outlook.com or passport.com, you can sign in with this. 

If you do not, then you must create one. 

Once you have entered your username and password, you will arrive at an application form that looks like this.

Complete the application form. When selecting the option for “Let us know how you’ll use this account”, if you intend to use Bing Ads to promote affiliate products, select the option that says “to promote this business”. 

If you intend to create advertisements on behalf of other businesses, select the option that says “to provide services to other businesses as an ad agency”. 

Once you have created your account, your Microsoft Advertising dashboard will look like this.

Whilst the first time viewing this, might appear overwhelming, keep in mind, that it will likely be, given it is your first time viewing it. 

I recommend that you give yourself a few days to a week, to go over each element of your Microsoft dashboard, paying attention to the campaign, ad groups, ads and keywords sections. 

Getting Started With Bing Ads 

If this is your first time using Bing Ads, it is important that you understand, that in order to advertise with Bing Ads, you must use keywords to create your ads. 

Keywords are certain words or phrases that people search for in the search engine, that makes your ads appear. 

For example, if a user searches for the keyword/keyphrase “make money online” and an advertisement has targeted this keyword “make money online” in its campaign, Microsoft will display that ad to the user.

As an affiliate or advertiser, there are, however, certain keywords that you want to pay more attention to, in your campaigns. 

Information keywords vs awareness keywords vs buyer keywords

This is where, understanding the difference between information keywords, awareness keywords and buyer keywords become important. 

Information keywords are keywords that users place in the search engines, when they are looking for information on a particular subject. 

Therefore, that user, has no intention to buy anything. All they are doing, is looking for information, to help them understand what a subject matter is. 

Let’s take a look at some affiliate products and typical information keywords for those affiliate products. 

You will see from the above examples, that the keywords used by searchers are entered for the sole purpose of getting more helpful information on a particular product. 

The user probably does not know, that there is a specific solution to their query and all they want at this stage, is to be able to understand the “how” or “what” of something. 

Awareness keywords

From that information, they may then be able to seek or become aware of a product that may solve their problem or answer their query. 

This then takes us to the awareness stage of an individual’s search journey. Now that they have more information on a subject matter, it is likely that such information has alluded to the awareness that a product does exist to solve their problem or answer their query. 

There are keywords which a user may enter into the search engine, which are not particularly strong buyer keywords, but they can potentially lead to a sale of a product, if the affiliate sets up his information post in a way which sells the product. 

These type of information posts can be review posts, question and answer posts, best “XYZ” product posts or top “XYZ” product posts. 

Below you will find example affiliate products and keywords that have a slight buyer intent but because the searcher is at the awareness stage, there is still some doubt as to readiness to buy and so the affiliate should be careful about using these keywords in his affiliate campaigns. 

When searchers use keywords such as XYZ product review, they have an idea that the product exists, but there is no certainty that they want to buy this product right now. 

What they are looking for, is confirmation or validation that this product is worth their investment. 

Likewise, when searchers use keywords such as “best XYZ product” or “top XYZ product”, they know that there are products in the marketplace that can help them, but they still have not found a specific product for their needs. 

These keywords can lead to a sale and takes the searcher closer to making a buying decision, however the most powerful buyer keywords are what an affiliate should target, if they want to easily generate sales and make better return on investments (ROI). 

Let’s look at buyer keywords. 

Buyer keywords

Buyer keywords are keywords that demonstrate that the user has already gotten sufficient information on a particular product, knows the product exists and is now ready to buy that product because they believe, from the information sourced, that this product will solve their problems. 

Buyer keywords are the best keywords you can target, because it helps you generate sales quicker and target searchers who know what they want and are in a buying mode. 

If they are in a buying mode, it is likely that they have their credit card in hand, ready to make a purchase. 

Can you think of any buyer keywords for affiliate products? Let’s look at some buyer keyword examples. 

You will notice from the above examples, that the user knows exactly what the product is, so is going in search of that product, by typing in the specific brand name of the product and the actual type of product. 

They also use buyer intent words like “buy”, “order”, “price”, “discount” or “sale”, etc. 

If you are promoting affiliate offers, buyer keywords are the type of keywords you should be using in your campaigns, to get the best results and to reduce your ad spend and time testing keywords.

So if you know that there is an affiliate product that you’d like to promote, think of some buyer keywords and note them down. 

Later down in this tutorial, I will also show you how to find more buyer keywords for your campaign, with the help of Microsoft Bing’s keyword planner tool. 

What is MaxBounty

For this tutorial, I will be focusing on the affiliate network, Maxbounty. 

Maxbounty is one of the most widely used affiliate networks, that provide excellent affiliate products for you to use in your affiliate marketing campaigns to help you earn money.

I have been using MaxBounty as an affiliate, since 2018 and it is one of those affiliate networks that I would recommend. 

They have over 2000+ products that you can select from as a blogger, email marketer, social media strategist that pay on a cost per lead (CPL), cost per sale (CPS), cost per action (CPA) or cost per install (CPI) basis. 

The best thing that I like about this affiliate network, is that they pay weekly. 

Some networks pay on a net 30 basis, or worse, when the advertiser pays you. As an affiliate, I am sure that cashflow is important to you, so always having your commissions available to work for you, is ideal. 

This is one of the reasons why I would focus my efforts on promoting products from Maxbounty. 

How to Join MaxBounty  

To join MaxBounty, it is important that you know, that MaxBounty prefers to work with affiliates who have experience. 

Their application process will therefore require you to state your experience as an affiliate. Also you will be required to have a phone interview with one of their affiliate managers. 

Here are some tips to help you with your interview and application process: 

1. Be truthful in your experience. If you are able to demonstrate any affiliate marketing experience, such as successful campaigns, then have the figures to prove it (although specifics of the campaign is not necessary; it is just a recommendation). 
2. If you do not yet have experience as an affiliate marketer, I would recommend first getting experience and then applying once you do have experience. 
3. If you do not yet have experience and do not want to wait to apply, then act like you know what you’re talking about. This will include, understanding affiliate marketing and showing how you intend to promote their products. If you can demonstrate that you know how you intend to promote their products and that you are committed to doing your best, then you can still have a chance. So in a nutshell, have a strategy. 
4. Do you know what type of products you want to promote? Then mention this in your application and interview. 

Here is what MaxBounty’s current application form looks like:

Here is where you set up security questions for your account.

Step 3 Contact

In this section, pay attention to the last question – “how did you hear about MaxBounty?”. A good choice to put is “mentor”. This will give the impression, that you are working under the guidance of someone who is successful at affiliate marketing. 

Step 4 Address 

Here is where you include your postal address.

Step 5 Experience

This section is the most important part and here are a few tips to help you complete it. 

What is your experience? 

If you are a complete beginner or have little experience, say so. But remember when describing your past affiliate marketing experience and how you intend to promote their products, always have a strategy. 

Outline what you know about affiliate marketing, how you learned it, the platforms you already have set up to start with affiliate marketing (eg. blog or social media audience), the budget that you have (if you intend to use ads) and how you intend to promote their offers. 

If you do have a budget, I have found that affiliate networks prefer affiliates who have a big budget. Budgets of more than $1000 per month is favourable. 

Be very specific in your answers. 

If you have some experience or are extremely experienced, you do have a better advantage here, because as I mentioned in the beginning, MaxBounty do prefer to work with affiliates who have experience. 

However, it does not mean that if you have little to no experience, that you have no chance at being accepted. 

It simply means that you must work harder for your application to get accepted and hopefully my tips above will help you move into the phone interview stage. 

What offers are you looking for? 

MaxBounty has several types of offers, from survey offers, ecom offers, health and beauty offers, cost per lead offers. 

I would recommend that you have an idea as to the type of offers you would like to promote. Perhaps you have seen other affiliates be successful with survey type offers.

Then mention that this is the type of offer you would like to promote. 

Your website URL

As you can see, Maxbounty does require that you have a website. Having a website does put you at an advantage, as it shows that you are serious about what you are doing. 

For that reason, if you do not have a website, I recommend that you get one. 

Make sure that the website has sufficient content on it, since as part of the application process, MaxBounty may visit it. 

Is this account for incentive traffic? 

Incentive traffic is offering some form of incentive or compensation, like cash, to people for clicking through to other websites. 

I do not know what MaxBounty’s policies are on incentivized traffic, so I would recommend that if you know that this is something you are pushing, that you do your own due diligence and make sure that it is an acceptable form of traffic permitted by MaxBounty.

Step 6 Terms

Finally agree to their terms and submit your application.

Your application is then likely to take a few days to be accepted and processed.

How to Select MaxBounty Offers 

Once you have been accepted and you are in your MaxBounty dashboard area, you will come to an area that looks like this. 

To find offers that you can begin testing, I recommend looking at the top campaigns, trending campaigns and MaxBounty picks. 

On these tabs, you can find the campaigns that are being successfully run by most affiliates. 

MaxBounty picks also have great offers hand selected by MaxBounty as offers that are successful on their network. 

Another great idea is to get in touch with your affiliate manager and ask them which is the best affiliate offer to promote. 

For example, if you intend to use paid advertising to promote affiliate offers, an email or message that goes like this, will help you get some offers to start testing: 

“Hey [affiliate manager’s name], 

I am ready to promote some offers with Bing ads. Can you let me know which offers are hot right now on Bing traffic?”

Here are some tips for how I select offers to run on the Bing ad network:

• Select ecom offers
• Select offers with a high payout that is above $50
• Select verticals in the health, beauty, skin or supplement niches 
• When researching offers or spying other affiliates, if an affiliate is promoting it, add it to your list to test. 

How to Set Up a Successful Bing Ads Campaign With MaxBounty Offers

I have created the below video to help you set up your Bing Ads campaign. This is exactly how I set up my ads on Bing. 

A few tips that I need to mention before you watch the video. 

• There is no special offer. As an affiliate, your goal should be to test as many offers and keep the ones that are converting well for you. Just because an offer converts for me, does not mean it will convert for you. You as the affiliate, need to do your own testing with the traffic source you want to use to promote the offer. 
• I recommend selecting at least 10 offers and set them up on Bing. Keep the ones that convert and turn off the ones that do not convert. 
• My ad kill method is to spend up to the payout amount. For example, if an offer pays out $80, I am prepared to spend up to $80 testing the product on Bing. That way, even if I make one sale, I have broken even. Some affiliates recommend spending 2x the affiliate payout, however for me, I will know that if I have received over a certain number of clicks to an offer, that it is unlikely to convert with the keywords I have selected. 
• Before turning off a campaign, check the number of clicks you have received to the keyword; not to the offer. Maybe the certain keyword you selected did not convert but perhaps another keyword may convert. Always keep this in mind. 
• It is sufficient to use up to 10 buyer intent keywords in your campaign. 

Any other tips that I remember, I will mention in the video.

Maxbounty and Bing Ads go hand in hand. I do also use Facebook ads to promote some of their offers, so if your traffic source is Facebook ads, then MaxBounty is still a great selection of an affiliate network.

I have found that if you have really good buyer intent keywords, that your ROI is exceptional with Bing Ads. 

That is because, when a user is ready to buy, it will take minimal clicks to an ad to make the sale. This is why it is important to target buyer intent keywords.

One of the things that I have learnt over the past few years, is the skill of converting a cold audience into buyers. 

That is, turning someone who has never heard about your brand or your product, into a customer or client. This is what I do, day in, day out – helping entrepreneurs grow their business by selling more of their products and services using Facebook and Instagram Ads. 

So I was happy to accept my new client, when she asked me to help her increase her revenue, using Facebook ads and sell one of her most popular products, a female beauty product.

The type of products that I have run in the past were lead generation campaigns and ads promoting digital courses, but I have a flair for eCommerce campaigns, since it is an easy campaign to set up, especially if the product shows evidence of being sold in the marketplace. 

My client already sold her product on other advertising platforms such as YouTube and with influencer marketing. In 2017 she generated over $100k in revenue from these platforms, but things declined in 2018, so she decided to try another medium, to see if she could pick back up the momentum. 

Knowing that she had over $100k in customer data, made it an easy decision for me to accept this Facebook marketing request, because this data would help me get great conversions for her.

Whilst I prefer to work with businesses who already have a product that is validated in the marketplace, I also work with start up businesses, but over a long term period to help them get where they need to be in business. 

In this campaign, the total amount spent on ads was $6309 and this brought in revenue of $19563; a 310% return on investment. 

In this blog post, I will walk you through how I achieved that result, the type of objectives I used in the ad campaign, the strategy I used in the ad campaign, what worked and didn’t work.

What I did before I started running the Facebook ad campaign

If you have your own eCommerce store, there are a few things that you can do, to set up your campaign for success. 

This includes checking that all pixels are in place on your website, so Facebook can track it properly. 

For an eCommerce store, you want to ensure that your page view, add to cart, initiate checkout and purchase pixels are properly in place. This will help Facebook optimise your campaigns so that you can get more of your desired conversions.

If you already have pixel data or some type of customer data, you can also calculate what your KPIs (key performance indicators) should be, to use as a benchmark for your ads. 

So in my client’s case, I knew what her average monthly gross revenue was, so I kept this in mind when running my campaigns and worked to achieving this or exceeding it. 

I also knew that her website was converting at 0.9% to 1.19%. Typically on an ecommerce site, a sales conversion rate of 2% or more, is where I like my client’s websites to be. If the website does not convert at 2% or more, then I would have to put systems in place to improve the sales conversion rate, such as optimising the website for a better performance. 

I also like to make sure that I have sufficient data, that I can use, to help fuel Facebook’s system, so the ad can perform the way I wanted it to perform. 

For example, the more data you can help Facebook with, the more likely they are to show your ads to the people that are likely to take a certain action in relation to your ads. 

In my client’s case, she not only had a lot of pixel data, but also a lot of personal customer data, that could then be used to help Facebook create an ideal customer avatar, which they will use to go out into the marketplace, to show your ads to people who are likely to take your desired action. 

This customer avatar, Facebook refers to as a custom audience. With a custom audience, you can create a lookalike audience, which you can use to expand your reach and scale your campaigns. 

The type of strategy I used for this Facebook ad campaign

In my client’s campaign, she had one product that she wanted to focus on. 

This was easy, since I did not have to start by testing a number of products, to see which one drove the most conversions. 

When clients know exactly what their audience wants, that’s a good sign that you are working with a good client. 

In my client’s case, she knew that she had the most sales from this particular product, and knew it was well received by her target audience. 

If however, you are just starting out with Facebook ads and you’re not quite sure what your audience likes, here is how I find that out. 

I set up 5-10 different product campaigns and drive traffic to each of those products to see which one will convert. The one that gets the most conversions is the winner.   

The strategy I used, therefore, to introduce the product to the Facebook and Instagram marketplace, was to start by creating a custom audience of all of my client’s page engagements, both on Facebook and Instagram. 

I also created a custom audience of all of my client’s website visitors in the past 60 days.

These custom audiences are people who have interacted with the brand. When you collect such data, you can go on to use it, to create lookalike audiences. 

A lookalike audience, is an audience that Facebook creates that mirrors people who have already engaged with your brand, Facebook or Instagram account, product or website. A lookalike audience, is very useful for expanding your reach, so you can reach more people on the Facebook and Instagram platform. 

After I created my custom audiences, I created a lookalike audience of both her engagers and web visitors and used these new audiences to create my ad campaigns. 

As you can see from the images, Facebook found an audience of over 8 million additional people, that I could now show the ads to. This is how powerful Facebook ads is, because there are so many ways you can reach more people.

With the new audiences in place, my goal was to first show the first set of ads to this group of people and then immediately retarget them with another set of ads. 

The first campaign that I set up, also include 5 ads with different variations. So I made sure to include different videos, headlines and text in the ads, to split test them amongst my audience and see which one would get the most views and engagement.

My second campaign was created to help identify people who engaged with my first campaign, and retarget them with the aim of serving a different ad, to prompt action, which was to click on the link, visit the website and make a purchase. 

The third retarget ad, retargeted all the website visitors who added the product to cart and served them a different ad, inviting them to return to the website to complete their purchase. 

Here is what that retarget ad looked like: 

Also in the background, whilst I used ads to remind the audience of the product, the client also had an email marketing campaign running in the background, to collect email addresses on the website, from those who started the initiate checkout process and completed their email address, but did not make a purchase. 

Those persons who completed the initiate checkout process, were retargeted by email with a series of email marketing campaigns, to co-erce them back to the website, to make the purchase.

This here, is the entire flow of the ecommerce funnel. 

How to set up an eCommerce campaign using Facebook ads 

Now that you know the strategy, let’s take a look at how I set up these Facebook ads. 

The first objective I used, was the traffic and engagement objective. 

Even though I used these objectives, the aim was not to get any purchase conversions here, but just to spark interest in the audience, to get them to click on the link and visit the product. 

Also by using the traffic and engagement objective, Facebook will serve the ads to a segment of the audience, that is likely to click on a link and visit a website, as well as people who like to like, comment and share a post. This helps create virality and act as social proof.

One thing to note, as an advertiser, make sure to use Facebook’s campaign objectives properly. 

Even though I set up four campaigns, two with a conversion objective and two each with a traffic and engagement objective and all four campaigns contained ads with a link to the website, the only campaigns that gave the best results such as add to carts and purchase conversions, was the conversion objective ads.

So this goes to show, that if Facebook tells you, that the conversion objectives will get you conversions, then they are telling the truth. 

I remember for another client’s campaign, I tested a traffic and conversion objective campaign side by side, to help generate leads. In 24 hours from the start of the campaign, the traffic objective campaign got the most link clicks to the website but got no lead conversions but the conversion objective campaign got the most lead conversions. 

With the traffic and engagement objective campaigns set up, I allowed those ads to run for a while in order to collect data. 

Next, I created a conversion objective campaign and split tested between optimising for add to carts, initiate checkouts and purchases. 

I told myself that whichever campaign gave me the most purchases, will be declared a winner. 

Surprisingly, the campaign that optimised for add to carts gave the most purchases. 

I was surprised, because most advertisers say that if you want Facebook to get you the most purchases, immediately optimise for purchases. 

I tested all three objectives and the results speak for themselves.

This is a lesson to all advertisers, that all campaigns are not the same. This is why it is necessary for you to create your own campaign, run your own tests and let your data help you create the best campaign that works for you. 

Two campaigns – created by two different advertisers – will never be the same.

One thing that I realised in this campaign, was that there were a lot of people who added the product to cart, initiated checkout but did not purchase. 

So in addition to my existing campaigns, I first created a custom audience of everyone who added the product to cart. 

I then retargeted that custom audience by setting up a retargeting ad campaign, where I targeted all the people who added the product to cart or initiated checkout, and served them a retargeted ad to tempt them to complete their purchase by offering a discount.

In hindsight, I should have excluded everyone who bought an item, since that would have made the audience a little more targeted and prevent the buyers who bought the item at full price, from seeing the discounted offer. 

Pro tip: Always make sure that you set up retarget ads in your campaigns. Not everyone who sees your ad the first time, will make a purchase. 

According to the sales statistics, it takes someone at least 7-12 touches, before they make a purchase. Make sure that your retarget ad is seen by your retarget audience multiple times to remind them to buy, but also to tempt them in some way to complete their order. 

The results achieved during this eCommerce campaign

With the conversion campaign which went straight to the product page for the sale, here is what the results looked like.

You will see from the image, that $3647.05 in ad spend, generated $8962.81 in revenue. Which was an ROI of 245.7%. 

However, take a look at what happened when I implemented a retarget ad campaign.

$1369.23 in ad spend, generated $10,600.27 in revenue which was a whopping ROI of 774.2%. That is why, it is so important to always implement retargeting in your Facebook ad campaigns.

What could I have done better in this ecCommerce ad campaign 

 As I look back now, I realise that I waited too long to change the ad images to prevent it from being exhausted. 

If an ad has a frequency of 3x or more, it means that your audience is seeing that ad too many times, and they may become immune to it. 

When they become immune to the ad, they skip over it and do not engage with it. 

In this campaign, to increase conversions on the retargeting campaign, I realised I missed opportunities for refreshing the ad creatives. 

Moving forward and in other eCommerce campaigns, I will take this into account and refresh ad creatives more frequently. 

Wrapping Up

Overall this was a very successful campaign, achieving $19563.08 from an ad spend of $6308.87.

The one thing that had a very high return on investment, was setting up the retargeting ads. 

As an eCommerce owner, if you are thinking of setting up ads yourself, always set up your retarget ads immediately, even if you have very little data. 

You can see from this ad campaign, that the retarget ad campaign performed so much better, than a direct ad to sale. 

This is because with a direct ad to sale you are serving ads to a cold audience. Retarget ads serve ads to an audience that has already interacted with your brand (your warm audience), making it so much easier to convert that audience and therefore driving down your overall ad costs. 

Another thing that’s important to mention is that, my client’s campaign was successful because she sold a product that people wanted. 

This is why it is important to validate your product, before you invest a lot of money into it. No matter how good your ads are, if the marketplace does not want to buy your product, it simply will not sell.

How To Get Coaching Clients Without a Website 

Whilst having a website can act as your business card, in the event you’d like to demonstrate expertise and professionalism, you do not need one to start getting clients to your life coaching business, if it is not a priority for you from the start. 

Just remember, that along the way, prospects may request to see some type of content or material to prove your experience and to even take you seriously, so decide what that is going to be, in the absence of a website. 

So let’s say that you’d like to start your coaching business without a website, how can you attract clients?

Networking events

One way to do this is to attend networking events that are related to your niche. This is the best place that you can find real people to talk to, to build a relationship with and possibly open the lines to work with them, one day. 

Now you’re probably thinking, isn’t there a better way to attract clients without leaving my house?

Well yes there is, but I’d like you to consider the possibilities that networking has when you actually meet people in person. 

The relationship is built so much quicker, plus the fact that you committed time to showing up at a networking event, already shows that you are committed to your business and people are likely to trust you faster. 

Think about it this way. Would you rather give your money to someone you have seen in person and met a couple times, or someone who is behind a computer screen? 

I don’t know about you, but there is something about meeting someone in person, that can really help you seal the deal.

Here’s how to find the right networking event for you:

Step 1

The easiest place to find the most relevant networking event, is by using the internet to see what’s going on.

Sites like Meetup.com, Facebook groups or local organisation websites, provide you with some good information on the type of networking events there are in your area.

When using these websites, be sure to use keywords to find relevant events. For example as a life coach and using Meetup.com, you can search for “goal setting” within 50 miles of Leeds and get results like this.

Step 2

Once you have found some networking events, be sure to understand what type of people will be attending.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself:

• Does that audience match your target audience?
• How big is the likely audience at these events?
• Do you have to pay to attend the events?

Keep in mind that if there is a price to pay to attend networking events, you may also find people who are likely to invest in programs like yours.

It makes no sense investing in something, that is unlikely to give you a return on your time invested. So make sure that the networking event, will have your ideal audience in attendance. 

Step 3

Plan and strategise your meet up. Remember that you sought out this meetup event because you’d like to get something out of it – that is, clients.

As a result, it is important to do some pre-planning, so you can make the most of your networking. Some preliminary things you can do, is find out who’s attending and see what they do.

Do they have a social media profile that helps you understand what they do? If those people match the description of the type of prospect you’d like to talk to, be sure to list it down so you can make an effort to meet up with them at the event.

Also it’s worth connecting with them before the event. Send a short email such as “hey I noticed that you’re attending XYZ event. Me too. I see we have XYZ in common. I’m looking forward to connecting”.

When you connect in this way, you’ve already started building the relationship, you’re 10x ahead of the next person and are likely to build stronger connections. 

Ask friends or family to help you out

Friends or family are the lowest barrier to entry as a beginner life coach. How about offering free services to friends or family in exchange for a referral.

Or you can offer free services to friends or family in exchange for a testimonial to help you build your portfolio. 

Asking friends and family is an easy task, and if they want to see you win, they are more than likely to do this favour for you. 

One way of starting the conversation is by making a post on your Facebook profile. 

Here’s how that will look:

“Hey everyone, I have started my own personal life coaching business and I am looking for experience. I would be happy to work with you for the next month for free, to help you achieve your life goals and in exchange, all I ask for is a testimonial from you. If you are interested comment below and I will personally reach out to you”

If you do not want to post on your Facebook wall, then ask the question in person. 

Tap into your business community or circles

Are you a member of any business communities or circle of people? Sometimes you may already be a member of a community where you regularly show up. 

Use this circle as a stepping stone to highlight your coaching services and potentially get leads for your business. Here’s how you do that. 

Before you advertise your life coaching business to your community or circle, show up by offering free, valuable advice to the group, so people can take notice of you. 

Why this works? Because it allows people to pay attention to you when you speak. This is how you stand out. Once you have appeared a few times, start pitching your services by offering free consultation calls. 

A consultation call is a great way to see how many people are actually interested in your business, and gives them the opportunity to ask you questions, so they will know whether you’re a right fit for them. 

At the end of the call, be sure to ask for the sale. This is one part that most people leave out, because they are afraid of actually selling their product or services. 

If you do not ask for the sale, you won’t get it. When you ask for the sale, speak about how your services can benefit the prospect and the types of results that they are likely to get if they work with you.     

How To Get Coaching Clients On Facebook

If you want to use Facebook as a means of getting life coaching clients, there is a right way to prospect and a wrong way. 

The wrong way is pitching your coaching services and asking your audience to sign up with you now without giving any real value that helps them get to know you, like you and trust you. 

The right way is delivering valuable content that helps build a relationship with you, so they can see you as an expert in your niche. 

One really great way of finding life coach clients, is in Facebook groups. 

Step 1

Seek out Facebook groups that match the description of what your target audience subscribes to. So as a life coach, you may be looking for people who need to get on track with their life goals. You know that these people may be interested in goal setting, vision board creation or the law of attraction. 

You can easily find these groups by using Facebook’s search feature. So when I type “law of attraction” and I filter the results to show me only groups, this is what my result looks like. 

Once you have joined the group and been accepted here’s what you do next. 

Step 2

Introduce yourself. This way people know of your presence and what you do. When you introduce yourself, do not try to immediately sell your services by saying: “Hi my name is Dawn-Marie and I am a life coach looking for new clients”. 

Instead say something like “Hi my name is Dawn-Marie and I am a life coach. My goal here is to learn how others are using the law of attraction, to improve their lives and make whatever contribution I can to help them on their journey”.

By introducing yourself this way, you do not come across as being sales-y and you will begin to form a genuine relationship with the group’s members when you help them with their questions. This is the way to attract people to you. 

Step 3

Once the introduction is made, another way to attract people to you, is by responding to other user’s questions. Provide helpful answers as a way to show your expertise and do not be afraid to remind people that you are a life coach.

For example, when commenting instead of saying “I am a life coach and you should do XYZ”, instead say “I would do XYZ, as this is one of the things that I teach my life coaching clients and I have seen a big improvement in their progress”. 

Step 4

Try and take the relationship building off of Facebook. When you help people, through commenting and offering help without expecting anything in return, you may find that people start messaging you to get more information from you.

You can also offer to message people that you have assisted on the comments section, by politely asking if you can provide more information to them in their inbox.

Take care of any Facebook group’s rules about private messaging. Obviously if this is not allowed, then don’t do.

Whenever you decide to take the message away from the Facebook group and into a private message, continue to offer valuable insight and always end by recommending that your new prospect get more information by accepting a free lead magnet or read content that navigates towards a lead magnet, such as a content upgrade.

The goal for any social media prospecting, must always be to get your prospects on your email list, so you can market to them further.

How to Market A Coaching Business

If you’re seeking out prospects online, a great way to market your coaching business, is with a sales funnel. 

A sales funnel, is the journey you take your prospects on, from the time they opt in for a lead magnet, to the time you convert them into a sale. 

Many life coaches, offering high ticket products, have used this strategy effectively to sell their coaching packages. 

If you already know what a sales funnel is and you’re looking to design your first life coaching sales funnel, then I highly recommend using Clickfunnels or LeadPages to build and design your funnel.

Here are some ways you can implement a sales funnel strategy into your marketing efforts. 

Blog and guest post with lead magnet

If you have a blog, then consider guest posting on other highly-trafficked, highly targeted blogs, so you can access an audience that wants to learn more about improving their lives through goal setting. 

When you guest post, make sure that you write a well-written, thorough blog post as this helps to attract the blog audience to you and your expertise because of your content. 

Once the guest post is published, remember to engage the audience by responding to any comments that they may leave under the post. This helps you to connect with the audience and can be the stepping stone for commenters to reach out to you, to ask questions about your expertise and then for you to offer your services. 

Usually guest posts do not allow you to promote your product or service within the content. This is where you use the Author Bio, to not only tell the audience about yourself, but also recommend an offer that is completely relevant to the blog post. 

Here is how Sonia Thompson achieved this and promoted her own coaching funnel, when she guest posted on Smart Blogger.

Just be sure to ask the owner of the blog for permission to place a link back to your lead magnet, so as not to cause any awkwardness. 

Run paid ads to a life coach funnel 

Another way to use a sales funnel for life coach marketing, is to use paid ads to drive traffic to your sales funnel. 

With this strategy, you can either use search engine ads, such as Google Adwords or Microsoft Ads, to target people who are looking for your services, or you can use social media ads, Facebook or Instagram Ads, to target people who may be interested in your services but do not know that it exists. 

If using either of these methods, keep in mind that the sales funnel that you build and design, will be completely different for search marketing and social media marketing. 

With search marketing, as you are promoting a product or service to people, who have actually searched for what your business can offer, your sales funnel will specifically address their needs.

With social media marketing, however, the audience here do not know that they need your product or service. Therefore your sales funnel should identify the problem and offer your product as the solution.

Podcast and end with a life coaching funnel 

Just like you would do with a blog post, appearing as a guest on a podcast is another way of borrowing someone’s audience and sharing valuable content with them, so you can make an offer that leads to your coaching funnel. 

If you are considering using this platform, remember to seek out those podcast hosts, that have a large audience, so you have a better chance at being heard and your funnel converting for the audience that listens in. 

There are many ways that you can get on a podcast and I will share the following tips with you. 

There is a website that I found called Podcast Guests. You can sign up with them for free and find podcasters that are actually looking for guests. 

You can also do a search of Google, using the keywords “be a podcast guest” and find all the websites where this keyword is found. Herein you will find podcasters who are in need of guests.  

Another great place to find podcasts is on the Apple Itunes directory or you can look at Apple Podcasts.

Once you have found a few podcasts that you’d like to be a guest on, it’s time to prepare your pitch to the host, so they can understand the value that you can bring to their audience. 

A pitch is usually a short introduction to you and your brand and the type of content you’d like to deliver to the podcaster’s audience that may solve a problem. 

So when pitching, keep in mind that the podcaster is looking for fresh ideas that will help their audience, rather than it be a promotional piece of content that is all about selling your product or service. 

Don’t worry, usually podcasters do allow you to promote your content to their audience and this is mentioned at the discretion of the podcaster. 

Here is a sample pitch I prepared for a podcaster when I wanted to appear on her show. 

Pay attention to what’s in the highlighted box. 

The Rachael Academy Podcast features small business owners and entrepreneurs and her audience is mainly those persons who are looking for ways to start and build their own business. 

I identified a problem in the small business arena, that is, small business owners or entrepreneurs who believe that in order to be successful they must have a large audience or email list to promote their products or services to. 

I mentioned a solution to that problem that I’d like to focus on in the podcast. I said that I’d like to teach her audience, how to start a blog and get traffic to it using a free traffic source. 

The offer was not just any offer. It was useful and helpful to her audience – listeners will be able to learn how to monetise a blog in a strategic way by building their email list and then selling their products or services to that list. 

I also included my area of expertise in my pitch. I mentioned that I was a blogger and digital marketing strategist and had experience in selling my own digital products to a small audience.

With that in mind, here is what your pitch should focus on:

• Offer a solution that you’d like to talk about in the podcast

After drafting your pitch, send it to the podcast host. If you are able to find their personal email or an email that goes directly to the podcaster, then that would be better. 

Ideally you’d want to avoid any gatekeepers (middle men), so look out for podcasters who have a direct email and if you are still not sure, send the email to the attention of the podcaster’s name.

Don’t forget to always follow up if you do not have a response to your pitch. It’s a good idea then to keep a spreadsheet of the podcasts you wrote to, the date you wrote to them, whether you received a response and the date you followed up with them.

If you are accepted to be a guest on a podcast, this is when you should offer to promote your life coaching services and it is always best to provide a direct link to your life coaching funnel, that is designed to generate leads and potentially lead to a client sale.

Create a YouTube video and end with a life coaching funnel

Another simple way to promote your life coaching business, is to start with a YouTube channel. 

If you are good with video, consider sharing free, valuable information to help build an audience. 

One thing that you need to remember when starting a YouTube channel, is that it will take time to build traction and an audience on this platform. 

Building a YouTube channel is like building a blog. You need to put out great content to attract an audience and then nurture them, to encourage them to consider your products. 

Before you sell any of your services on video, always lead with value and remember to include a call to action at the end of your video, telling your viewers what you’d like them to do. 

Whether that is checking out a blog post or opting into your life coaching funnel. 

To engage your audience you could also tell them to leave a comment on your video, like the video or subscribe to your channel. 

These bits of action, help to skew the YouTube algorithm in your favour so that your videos are recommended to more people.

There are many places online, that help you find web design clients. As well as, there are many things that you can do, to attract web design prospects to you. 

Let’s have a look at some ideas:

1. Create your own website and blog 

It is no doubt, that by showing our expertise through content, you can attract people to you. A blog is a powerful tool that you can start right away, to build an audience and then offer free content in return, so that you can educate your prospects about web design and they can feel more comfortable turning to you for advice. 

When you create your own website and blog, make sure that your content focuses on the pain points of your prospects. That way the end goal of every blog post, is to offer your service as the solution to that pain point.

Whilst starting a blog is a great strategy, it is a long-term one, so results may not happen right away. As long as you remain consistent with blogging and providing good content, you will eventually be able to convert clients from all the good knowledge that you have provided.

2. Implement Search Engine Optimisation and Promote Yourself

This then brings me on to my next point of how to find clients online when you blog. 

Once you have a website and blog set up, it does not end with writing content. You now need to promote that content so that people find you. 

One great way to show up in front of a targeted audience, is with the Google search engines. With the latest Google update, you can now answer your audience’s very specific questions, with the possibility of your blog getting crawled by Google and eventually landing a spot in the search engine. 

Everyone wants to make it to page one of Google, so your aim should not only be to answer your audience’s questions, but provide specific, quality answers, as well as build your blog brand, so that Google favours your content as expert and authoritative.

Besides Google, another search engine that is often under utilised, is Pinterest. 

Pinterest is a great place that has a high female demographic. So if you know that your target market is females, consider focusing on Pinterest and posting your content there.

Imagine if your new blog could generate that type of free traffic, what that would do for your new freelance business? That means more visitors, more leads and potential sales of your services within such a short space of time right?

Lastly, you can promote your blog post by asking other web design bloggers to post your content to their audience.

A good way to do that, is by guest posting. You can also agree to be interviewed or appear on a podcast. 

This gives you the ability to share audiences, so that more people see your amazing content. 

Always make sure that when using any of these methods, that you have a strategy with an end goal. 

For you, that end goal may be to get more leads to fill your web design funnel. 

A great way to accomplish that end goal, is to create content upgrades from within your blog posts, to help you generate leads. 

How To Find Web Design Clients On LinkedIn

Linkedin is the social media network for professionals, so your target market – the decision makers of businesses – are bound to be here. 

Like any other social media network, it is also a place where you need to build relationships before you get the sale. 

The following steps will teach you how to create an attractive LinkedIn profile, so you can attract web design prospects to you, who go on to become web design clients. 

Step 1

It all begins with your profile, since this is the first thing that prospects see. You want to have a profile that pre-sells your brand, experience and what you can do, so that by the time you have a conversation with a prospect, they already know about you. 

Hopefully when you craft your profile in a highly attractive way, you can stimulate the minds of your readers and make them want to work with you. Learn how to write the perfect LinkedIn profile by visiting this very helpful resource.

Step 2

Identify your target market, means going out into the LinkedIn marketplace and finding ideal people that you’d like to connect with. 

When you think about it, you really want to connect with the decision-makers of a business. That means, they can hire you on the spot and are not “the middle man”.

Who are the decision-makers? Well they’re the CEOs, Director of Marketing, the CFOs, etc. 

When you have created a list of your target audience, you can use LinkedIn’s search tool to find people that match that description. 

Step 3

Send a connection request. When you have found someone that matches your target audience, it’s time to send a connection request. 

Whilst LinkedIn allows you to send default connection requests, it is wise to send a more personalised message, that will make the reader more likely want to connect with you. 

A great way to personalise a message is by using their real name. 

Also take the time to do some research on them or their company and explain why they will want to connect with you. 

For example, as a web designer, you may want to take a look at their current website, if any, and address a few changes that you could make, to help them with their business. 

Pro tip: Always make the request about the other person. How can you help them?

In that regard, a personalised connection request that falls within LinkedIn’s character limit, can be something like: 

“Hi [first name]

I’m [your name]. I help small business owners create and design beautiful, high converting websites that generate more visitors and eventually leads. Your website looks great but there are a few things that I would recommend you improve. 

May I share it with you?” 

OR 

“Hi [first name]

I’m [your name]. I help small business owners create and design beautiful, high converting websites that generate more visitors and insane ROI. Your website looks great but there are a few things that I would recommend you improve. 

May I share it with you?” 

What this message does, is: 

1. It creates curiosity, since by telling them that there are things about their website that needs improvement to generate a result every business wants – more leads – certainly it will peak their curiosity and they will want to find out what that is. 
2. It identifies a pain point of most companies that own websites – that is, not knowing how to get more leads. More leads means more sales.
3. It demonstrates that you’ve taken steps to do some research
4. It demonstrates that you want to add value and you’re not simply another one of those messages which they may identify as spam.

Step 4

Send a thank you message. Once the prospect accepts your request, deliver what you said you would share, that’s it. 

Don’t let this message be a pitch fest because that is not its purpose. You can always pitch another time. 

All you want to do, is add some value to their business strategy, so you can leave a lasting impression that makes them want to thank you for connecting with them. 

Once you have delivered the value, end with a message such as “talk to you soon” or “I’ll catch up with you later”. That way you’re telling them, you’re leaving the door open for more dialogue.

Step 5

Follow up. Once you have connected with your prospect, it does not end there. You need to continue to build the relationship, so they can see you as a potential resource, should they need help. 

To do that, you can offer content that demonstrates your authority and knowledge on a subject that matters to them. 

For example, if after doing research, you notice that their website traffic numbers are very low, then content that teaches them how web design can be optimised to increase traffic numbers would be helpful to them. 

Again the purpose here is not to pitch your service. You simply want to share a message that lets them see that you are knowledgeable in an area where they may need help. 

This ensures that you are top of mind, should they decide to embark on a web design project.

Step 6

Share content with your connections. This is where being consistent pays off. If you know that your connections would benefit from a piece of content, then share it with them by creating status updates.

Make sure that your status update, has a good hook so that your connections will want to read more of it. Make sure the status update is short and to the point, so your connections can get through the message and to work with Linkedin’s algorithm, all links should be placed in the comment section. 

Step 7

Move relationships off of LinkedIn. After you have built rapport with your connections for a while, now it’s time to take the relationship off of LinkedIn. 

A great way to do this, is to offer a lead magnet that is designed to take the prospect through a funnel that leads to the sale of your services. 

Because you have built a good relationship before hand, it is now a perfect time to pitch your services to them. I would suggest that the relationship building stage lasts for a month, before you start a sales funnel strategy to convert your prospects into clients.

A good thing about this too, is that this process can be automated, because once they are in a funnel system and if you are using email marketing, you can also engage them more often and continue building the relationship. 

Remember that this has to be a consistent effort, because it may take a while to convert your prospects. Some of them may not need your services now, but it does not mean that in six to twelve months, they may not need your services then.  

How To Find Web Design Clients on Instagram

The whole client-fishing strategy is similar with any social network – it’s all about identifying, connecting and engaging with your ideal audience before you convert them into clients. 

So how exactly do you find web design clients on Instagram?

Like LinkedIn, I want you to understand that there is a process to building relationships with people, before you actually get a sale and with Instagram it may look something like this. 

Step 1

Assuming that you already have an Instagram business account, create a bio that tells your visitors, who you are, what you offer and who is your target audience. 

So for example, a great Instagram bio would be: 

Web design that’s not only stunning but leads to higher conversion rates that matter to small business real estate investors. 

When you have a targeted Instagram bio, it means that you are not just attracting anyone, but attracting a group of people who falls into your ideal audience – in the above example, that is, real estate investors. 

Step 2

Use the Instagram bio link. Always make sure that you have a call to action for your Instagram link so you can get more visitors to check out a piece of content that matters to you. 

Always have the end goal in mind. So what does your content aim to do? It should aim to generate leads, so take the time to create a landing page that will help convert those visitors into leads.

Step 3

As a web designer you want your Instagram feed to have an aesthetic that is visually stimulating. 

A striking, yet clean feed, speaks volumes as to the type of work you produce and gives a good first impression to visitors who are seeing you for the first time. 

When deciding on the type of feed that you want to portray for your business, consider using one colour palette that is consistent throughout, so that your feed has a theme.

Also don’t forget to create varying content. Content should attract and engage your audience so they pay attention and get to know more about you.

Use images that are bright and visually appealing which helps interrupt your audience so they take notice. 

Then tell your story through a caption that seeks to inspire, educate and even tickle your audience. Try to avoid too much content that is sales-oriented because that will certainly make you lose a few followers. 

Step 4

Use Relevant Hashtags. Because how else would people find you? Hashtags are like search engines, in that when someone is searching for an item or content, it gives visibility to your work. 

This is why you should have a good hashtag selection that is relevant to web design. One tip is to use the same hashtags consistently in your posts. That way you stand out more, when several pieces of your content appears in a hashtag search. This typically steers people to check out your profile and could potentially lead to more followers.

Step 5

Once your content is written, you have inserted your hashtags and posted, make sure you engage. You want to spend at least an hour on the gram, immediately engaging with people who respond to your content. 

When you respond immediately to comments, this creates a new wave in the Instagram algorithm, that gives your content more exposure.

Not only should you be aiming to engage with people who comment on your post, you should also engage with your audience’s own posts. 

When you do so, there’s a good chance that that user will check out your profile and feed and give you some love. 

For this reason, always make sure that your bio has a good call to action to check out your content and your content is so magnetic and valuable that it leads to valuable conversions that matter to you – in your case it should be a lead through a nurturing sales funnel.   

How to Get Local Web Design Clients  

I believe having a web design business that targets local businesses, allows you to be more personable with your contacts, thereby building a relationship faster. 

Whilst you can prospect and build your client base online, you can also incorporate some in-person prospecting to give you a better chance at winning a client. 

But it does require you to step outside of your comfort zone and here’s how. 

Don’t be afraid to meet with new people at networking events. 

Whilst this may not be something that you do as a business all the time, it certainly is something you can focus on, in the beginning, to build momentum and have a few clients coming through the door. 

Again building relationships is a key factor so always keep this in mind when you start. 

1. Networking

Attend networking events. You can find networking events that attract your ideal audience by joining Facebook groups.

If the admin of a group posts a network event, always make an effort to show up. This gives you exposure to potential clients in your area. 

Another great way you can maximise your presence in the Facebook group, is also to consistently help other members by answering questions and providing advice without expecting anything in return. 

When you do this, people will start to take notice of you and see you as someone who can help them solve their problems. 

Remember, when providing advice in these forums, it is always best to over deliver and build trust, so that approaching you for advice and feeling comfortable doing so is an easy choice. 

Also by showing up at networking events, gives you the opportunity to meet your potential clients in person, which can be the deal breaker that helps you get hired. 

You can also find networking events at Meetup.com and searching on your local chamber of commerce notice board or website. 

When you attend networking events in person, socialise first, pitch later. The aim at these networking events, is to share what you do and show that you are knowledgeable in what you do. 

It’s also meant to be a fun place to meet new people. If you appear at more networking events and meet the same people over and over, this is how you foster relationships that can then lead to client work. 

Whilst networking takes time to grow a leads pipeline, it is a starting point to getting your name and brand out into the marketplace and can help people put a name to a face when they see you online. 

2. Approach ideal businesses in person

If you don’t want to attend networking events, another good way to find web design clients, is to do the good old-fashioned door knocking. 

Now I’m not saying to knock on every person’s door, but a great strategy, is to pinpoint a handful of businesses you’d like to work with, then do a bit of research on their business. 

As a web designer, that may be looking at their website and see what improvements could be made and why. 

Usually, the next step would be for people to send a cold email to the prospect to share this information with them, but an alternative way to actually meet with the decision-maker and know that your advice gets into the right hand, and also to demonstrate a bit of personableness, is to show up at their door. 

Even if you meet with the person, and leave a hard copy book that speaks about the improvements that their website could make with a subject like “How One Business Owner Got Over 600% ROI by Making Small Tweaks to Their Website”, this is bound to get results because you’re not just another email. 

Everyone is sending emails and it actually takes effort to return to the conventional way of marketing. Business owners truly appreciate you going the extra step.

3. Online prospecting

And if door to door marketing is just not your thing, there is always the internet. In that case you can refer to my paragraph where I explained how to find web design clients online. 

How to Get Web Design Clients on Craigslist

Some people may not think of Craigslist as a lead generator for web design clients but before you rule it out I want you to consider this. 

Craigslist is a classified advertisement website that allows you to search for jobs, houses, items wanted and other things, but it is also a place where you can get web design leads, if you have a good strategy, you’re patient and you’re willing to test and see what works. 

Most people start by posting their ads in sections such as services or jobs, but other sections you can test to see if it gives any results is For Sale – Business or Temp Jobs – Computer. 

Other relevant sections are the Services – Computer, Services – Creative, Services – Sm Biz Ads, Jobs – Business Mgmt, Jobs – Web Info/Design, Jobs – Marketing/PR/Ad and even the CVs section.

When posting ads in these sections a few things to think about, when writing your ads are:

• Split test your headlines 
• Split test the content of your ads
• Simplicity is key
• Keep each of your ads/subject lines unique to avoid it being considered as spam
• You should be prepared to post several ads, even in the hundreds per week, before you get a quality lead. 
• Be consistent and post several times a day
• Be patient

One thing to be aware about Craigslist, is that you have to put yourself where people are actually searching for your business. 

Be creative and get inside the minds of people who are actively searching for people who provide your service. 

Ask yourself, where on Craigslist will they look? What are they searching for and what type of headline will catch their attention?

How to Get International Clients for Web Design

Just because you live in one country, does not mean you cannot tap into the market of another country. 

With the internet and having different ways to connect with potential clients, such as through Skype, Zoom or other online conference applications, finding web design clients should not be troublesome, if you have a good strategy to start. 

If you are familiar with Google Adwords or Microsoft Ads (formerly Bing Ads), then you can launch an ad, that drives traffic to a client funnel to attract leads and then convert them into clients.  

Do the same with Facebook Ads or any social media network that allows advertising, but it is important that you know where your target audience is, so you can target them with the most appropriate social media ads; whether that is Pinterest ads, Facebook ads or Instagram ads for example. 

When creating ads to post on the internet, I strongly recommend that you use a client funnel, or sales funnel so you can attract your target audience and serve them content that educates them about your brand, what you can offer and how your offer can help them solve a problem.

It is important that you build an email list by first serving a lead magnet, then consistently provide valuable content, so you can nurture your leads and help them see you as someone who can help them. So for example, as a web designer, your value proposition might be that you help design highly convertible websites that turn targeted traffic into leads or sales. 

When you create advertisements on the internet, some key metrics to be aware of, is your cost per lead, your sales funnel opt in rate, cost per client acquisition. This way you will know how much you’re spending versus how much you have earned in terms of client business.

There are many ways to get personal training clients online. I will share with you a few of the most popular and effective ways, so you can be inspired to use these methods to get your first personal training client yourself; if you do not already have one.

Let’s get started.

1. Build a Website

As a personal trainer, the most powerful way to build an online presence and attract clients to you, is with the use of a website.

The most professional personal trainers, who attract and retain a large number of loyal clients and do so quickly and sometimes passively, do it with a personal branded website.

Why should you have a website? Because you will be able to set yourself as the authority in fitness and your prospects will get to know a little more about you, before they actually meet with you.

This is one of the best tools that you can use, to sell yourself and do so, without any real human intervention. Your website will do most of the talking for you, until the prospect decides to reach out for more information.

You can build any website, but if you want to build a successful online presence with a website as a personal trainer, that draws in prospects, there are certain functions that your website must have.

Firstly, to start building your website, check out my easy to follow tutorial, which will guide you, in a step-by-step fashion and teach you how to get your first website up and running quickly.

After you have built your website, consider adding the following items to your website’s navigation menu, to make it easy for visitors to navigate and to give the prospect exactly what they are looking for:

Work with me

Here, you will tell your website visitor how they can work with you. You may list your requirements for accepting new clients here and also speak about any of your personal training services.

About 

This is where you will speak about who you are, what specialist skills you have, your history as a personal trainer, any achievements you have and anything else you want your prospect to know.

It is a good idea, to demonstrate how you can help your prospect, should they eventually become your client and you can do this by talking about, what has worked for your other clients in the past and why you feel it will work for them.

Testimonials

As you may know, having other people vouch for your expertise, is a huge opportunity to get the attention of prospects and build their trust in you.

If people have already used your services and it is evidenced on your website, through testimonials, then this is a contributing factor that can lead to more people being interested in using your services too.

When creating the testimonial section, I recommend that you use an image of your client in this section, as images tend to do better in converting prospects, since the testimonial can be claimed by a face.

If you do not have your client’s permission to use their image, then this is not a problem. Simply use their testimony as it is, although you should note that this can reduce conversions from web visitor to prospect.

Another way to improve conversions in the testimonial section, is to use real video testimonials. Using real videos of your clients as they give their testimonial, is a convincing and compelling way, to make someone attach credibility to your name.

If you do not yet have clients and are just starting out, do not worry. It simply means you will have to sell yourself as best as you can, to attract your ideal prospect.

By having a beautifully-designed website is the first step to selling yourself.

Services

In your services section, you should list what personal training services you can provide and their prices. This makes it easy for a prospect to become familiar with your services and price and helps them take that step of reaching out to you, if they consider your price point reasonable.

Contact Me

This is one of the most important categories you should have on your website. Some websites have contact forms embedded on a website for this purpose, but I recommend you include an email address, physical address and contact number if you have one.

Blog

If you want new website visitors, I strongly recommend having a blog. What is a blog? It is a section of your website where you regularly provide updated content that is informational (just like this one that you’re reading).

This is called a blog post.

As a personal trainer, your blog post should be used as a way of showing your expertise. You can use a blog to write helpful content that is useful for the viewer. For example, you may want to post challenges, recipes or health and wellness tips.

The reason why a blog is crucial to you finding new visitors, is because, if written well, can play a part in your website being found in the search engines.

If your website is found in the search engines, for keywords or key phrases that people are typing into Google or Bing, then you will continue to expose your name to new prospects, which will grow your audience.

2. Have A Lead Magnet To Attract Subscribers

Once you have set up a website, one other way to attract your ideal clients, is to first build a relationship with them.

Even though people would visit your website, you must take additional steps to convert them into subscribers or leads.

A subscriber or lead is likely to be worth hundreds or thousands of dollars to your business once they have converted to a client.

In order to convert them to a client, you must attract them as a subscriber or lead first.

How can you do this? One way to do this, from your website, you can add a subscriber opt in box, otherwise known as a lead capture form.

This form, will be a means to collecting your prospect’s details (typically their name and email address), in exchange for your lead magnet.

A lead magnet, is any free offer that you give away, such as a PDF report, a video training series or worksheet, for the main purpose of gathering your prospect’s contact details. 

So as a personal trainer, perhaps you can give away a free fitness challenge, a free PDF report on the types of food to eat to burn muscle fat, something like that.

Once you have received your prospect’s contact details, you will be able to communicate with them through email, SMS or messaging services, like chat bots, so you can start building a relationship with them.

Think of this, as having a conversation with your ideal clients, since we know that the road to creating client relationships, starts with conversations.

When you build a relationship, you are basically offering content about you as a brand, providing helpful information and even selling yourself.

3. Build A Social Media Presence

Social media is a huge platform where your ideal audience may be hanging out.

You want to show up in places, where your target audience may be present the most and these days, this is on social media sites like Facebook or Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and even Pinterest.

You do not need to have elaborate tools to show up here. You simply need to have engaging, helpful and interesting content, that gets people to recognise you.

For example, if you decide that you want to use YouTube, to show up to and attract your ideal audience, you can create simple videos talking about a number of various topics that you feel would matter to people who you want to attract.

For example, some topics that you may want to focus on, can include:

• Your own personal journey to losing weight and why you want to help other people
• Your own client’s success stories, after they used your services
• Health and fitness tips that make people healthier or lose weight

For Facebook, you can use posts or live video to share your content.

For Twitter, because of the limited number of text you can use, use tweets that has a link back to another platform with your content.

For Pinterest, share pins that are connected to helpful blog posts (this is where your website comes in).

When you prepare content for these platforms, it is important that you take it seriously and you remain consistent.

Also, one important tip that you should remember to include in these videos and posts, is a call to action at the end of your content, inviting your viewers to join whatever program you have for them.

Remember to also post a link to your website, which if you followed my advice above, has a lead magnet with a sweet giveaway, so you can acquire leads to follow up with.

4. Take Part In Online Forums or Groups

As a personal trainer, you may already be a part of a forum where you have answered other people’s questions and have been helpful.

Maybe you are seen as the go-to person for fitness. If that is the case, these places are where you can polish up your profile to attract your ideal clients.

When you are seen as an authority, people pay attention and may secretly have you on their radar, checking out what you do.

If you are a member of these online forums or groups and never thought to create an attractive profile, now is the time.

Here are some pieces of information to help you build an appealing personal trainer profile:

• Include your real name
• Include a way for visitors to contact you, whether that is a website link, a social media profile link or an email address
• Make it absolutely clear, what your mission statement is – what is it that you do and which group of people do you serve? For example “I help women over 50 become more healthy and fit as they age”

If you are not part of an online forum or group, then you can start now. However I do not recommend joining a group with the mere purpose of selling your services.

You will definitely sell out yourself.

Instead, join a group and in the first month or two, only provide helpful advice.

Answer questions and be approachable so people can get to know you and then like you.

Once you start showing up in these forums or groups consistently, people will recognise you and start checking you out.  

How do I promote my personal training business

If you have built a website or blog or have created video material which gives more information about your brand, then it is time to promote your personal training business.

You are not going to get any new clients or even recognition, if you do not promote your personal training business.

When you promote your personal training business, you are simply letting other people know that you exist and that you are open for business.

Here are a few ways, free and paid, that you can promote your personal training business:

1. Social media advertising

The best way to reach a massive number of people in a short space of time, is through advertising.

Whilst there are places like Craigslist, classified ad websites or online marketplaces, you want your ads to show up in places that is likely to make a huge impact and give you a return on your investment.

The best places you can confidently spend your money and get a great return on your investment is with:

• Facebook or Instagram
• YouTube
• Twitter
• Pinterest

If you intend to use any of these platforms, it is a good idea to learn how they work before you spend any money on ads.

A good place to start for Facebook Ads is with the Social Traffic Blueprint course by Jon Penberthy and Jubril Agoro. This course helped me increase my revenue for my business by ten times and helps me acquire thousands of leads every month.

2. Search engine marketing

Search engine marketing can be very effective, if you have a website and lead magnet and you target keywords or keyphrases that your ideal prospects may be searching for.

Search engines, give you the opportunity to tap into a huge market of people who search Google, Bing or other search engines like Pinterest, for answers to their questions.

If you can answer that question properly and thoroughly or you can provide some solution to their problem, you have a higher chance at acquiring that visitor and converting them to a lead.

Once that person becomes a lead, you can place them in your email sequence to work on converting them to a paying client.

If you do not want to use either social media advertising or search engine marketing, you can use the following free methods however, it is important for you to understand, that it may take longer for you to see results.

3. Search engine optimisation

When you use search engine optimisation to promote your personal training business, you are simply improving your website content, by using different on-page and off-page strategies, to improve your chances of being found in the search engines.

If this sounds too technical for you, but you are interested in learning how to use SEO to improve your website’s discoverability and especially if you want to get free visitors to your website in the long term, then I recommend the Complete SEO Training Masterclass for beginners to help you get started with SEO.

Search engine optimisation is more of a long term strategy to getting significant results on your website, so if you want to build a clientele now, then I would recommend that you use paid methods which I discussed above.

4. Influencer marketing

Influencer marketing has become a very hot topic in recent times, especially with the growth of social media personalities.

There are many social media account holders or even bloggers, vloggers or podcasters, who have a huge audience that you can rent, to expose your brand to.

For example, one creative way to do this and which is a win-win for most influencers, is the provision of content in exchange for an appearance to that influencer’s audience.

For example, many podcasters, vloggers or bloggers are always looking for new content. You can help provide that content in the form of a blog post, an interview or video material.

This way, you have pretty much done all the work for them – you have created the content – and all you need to do is deliver the content and show up.

Influencers love this. They are content creators and you are making their work easier since you are helping them fill their content calendars – and as a blogger, this is not an easy or interesting thing to do.

To get started with this, I recommend that you do a quick Google search of fitness, health or wellness blogs that have a high volume traffic, then find the contact details for the author and pitch your request to them.

Do the same for podcasters and vloggers.

Here’s a simple hack that you can use, to find relevant blogs and podcasts using Google.

Use the keyphrase “blog inurl:”keyword” to find relevant blogs.

Use the keyphrase podcast inurl:”keyword” to find relevant podcasts.

Take a note of each blog or podcast owner, their contact details, then work on contacting each of them and pitching your idea.

Just one opportunity on a highly-trafficked podcast or blog can increase your following and open up so many opportunities to meet new prospects.

How do you generate leads for personal training

A lead is someone who has raised their hand and expressed an interest in what you have to offer.

So whilst you may be present with a website, on social media or acquire visitors from borrowed platforms such as podcasts, bloggers and vloggers, you must make it your focus to always convert your audience into leads.

There are two ways you can do this, manually or automatically.

1. Manual lead generation

This is where you get leads without the use of any tool or software to acquire and store them.

To get leads you may buy them from a lead generation marketer, where you now have to contact those people and introduce yourself whether by phone, email or post.

You may get leads through a referral or word of mouth. You must still follow up to convert these type of leads by phone, email or post.

You may get leads from your own content, where people comment on that content expressing an interest in working with you or simply engaging with you.

If someone interacts with your content in this way, it’s a good idea to reach out to them personally, whether by messenger, if they are part of your social circle or by email, if they have left an email address and communicate with them to see if they have any need for your service.

2. Automated lead generation

This type of lead generation is my favourite since it does not require a lot of effort on your part and most of the connection is via inbound means.

That is to say, people that are interested in working with you, actually reach out to you and ask for more information and the process of sharing that information with them, is done automatically.

Automated lead generation requires a system, set up with various tools which include:

• A Domain
• Lead capture page
• Email autoresponder or messenger chatbot
• Lead magnet  

The great thing about this method, is that once you have set it up, you can forget about it and let it do its job.

Here is how this works in practice.

Domain

Your domain is what will identify your website on the internet. When choosing your domain, you may wish to use a niche domain that is related to fitness or health and wellness.

For example your domain could be healthcoaching101.com or fitnesscoaching101.com

Your domain could also be personally branded, such as your name. For example dawnmarienesbitt.com or workwithdawnmarie.com.

Lead capture page

Once you have your domain you need to connect it to a website. Your website is what will have your lead capture page on it.

Email autoresponder or messenger bot

Your email autoresponder will be connected to your lead capture page and will store pre-written emails that tells your leads more about your brand, your services and provide some education on personal training.

This is where your leads get to know more about you and why they should work with you.

Lead magnet

Finally, your lead magnet, is the hook that will attract people to your lead capture page.

Once everything comes together, you can then share your domain URL with the world through the various channels where you distribute your content, such as YouTube, Facebook or Instagram.

Always remember that when you share your URL, include a call to action in your content, so you can tell people what to do, and how they can work with you.

How do personal trainers get clients fast – A case study

Personal trainers, who understand online marketing, are using various strategies to transition from being a personal trainer at the gym, to an online personal trainer.

The benefit of having an online personal training business is that it:

• Reduces your overhead costs
• Expands your reach locally, nationally and even internationally
• You can grow your income exponentially
• You can be location-independent and still run your personal training business

My review of Clickfunnels vs LeadPages is going to give the blogger, affiliate marketer, ecom store owner and marketer a clue about whether these marketing tools are ideal for their business.

Hands up, if you would rather know what the deal is, before spending money and time trying to learn something that does not meet your expectation?

Well as a user of both marketing tools, I hope that I will be able to give you a clear picture of the features of these products and whether they are the right fit for your business

I know there are a ton of Clickfunnels vs Leadpages reviews, but I had not seen any, that specifically answers to who the user is.

Which is why I decided to take a different route and provide a review for each specific business owner.

I will be making this review as unbiased as possible. After all I do have certain gripes about both Clickfunnels and LeadPages that I’d like you to know about.

What is Clickfunnels?

I have so many people come to me and say they’d like to build a clickfunnel. Let me set the record straight by clarifying that Clickfunnels is the name of a product or more specifically an online software.

Just like Microsoft Word or Powerpoint, it is a product or online software that helps you build a sales funnel.

A sales funnel is a series of web pages dedicated to the promotion of a particular product or products that helps the business owner achieve a desired goal.

That goal may be a sale, lead generation, booking a consultation or call or whatever objective you may have.

It is different from your traditional website because it does not have features like external or internal links, navigation menus, etc.

In this regard, the funnel is the ideal marketing tool because it helps to keep the user (your target audience) focused on the main objective of the funnel.

The owner of the Clickfunnels product is Russel Bronson.

What is LeadPages?

LeadPages was designed as a lead generation software but it can also be used as a sales funnel.

That is because LeadPages also allows you to build sales pages that help you generate sales of products.

So just like Clickfunnels, you can use the LeadPages software to also generate leads, sales, consultation bookings or calls.

When you first get to the LeadPages home page, if your goal is to sell a product, you may be wondering whether LeadPages is the right product for you, since their focus is more on the lead generation aspect.

Don’t worry because you can take payments with this online platform as well which means that you can sell a product if you want to.

When compared to Clickfunnels, notice how Clickfunnels immediately addresses this, by pointing out almost everything that can be done with the Clickfunnels software.

ClickFunnels vs LeadPages Features

Rather than write a paragraph about the features in each of these online software, I decided to create a table setting out the main features so you can easily get an overview and comparison of each one.

I will then go into the specifics of each feature so you can learn a little bit more about it.

Mobile Friendly Templates

Both Clickfunnels and LeadPages have mobile friendly templates.

However, if I were to pick one for easy mobile responsiveness, my vote would go to LeadPages.

That is because, with Clickfunnels even though their pages can convert to mobile, you must manually adjust your text for mobile viewers, before publishing.

What I mean is, if on desktop you have used a font size of 32px, with Clickfunnels you want to make sure that the text is down-sized for mobile.

If you do not take this additional step the text will also appear large on mobile. Clickfunnels have catered to this by adding a mobile text button in their editor.

The difference with LeadPages however, is that the text and images are automatically down-sized for mobile.

Drag and Drop Interface

Designing a lead page or funnel is simple with their drag and drop interface.

No coding is necessary which makes Clickfunnels and LeadPages easy for amateurs who have no coding or design skill.

To build a page with Clickfunnels, you can either use one of their pre-designed templates and drag and drop any additional elements that you want to the page.

If you are starting from the beginning though you must understand how a Clickfunnel page is designed.

Each of their pages are made up of sections, rows and elements.

Each page starts with a section which is identified by the colour green, which contains a row identified by the colour blue and a row contains an element, identified by the colour orange.

The elements are your content boxes and it is from the content boxes that you can design your page.

LeadPages has a similar construction however to start designing your page, you only need to add a section then drag and drop your content.

So once again in terms of ease, LeadPages wins making it easier for the user to build their pages effortlessly.

Pop-Up Lead Boxes

If you do not want to create a sales funnel but still want a place to convert your visitors into leads from your website or blog, you can create pop up lead boxes with both Clickfunnels and LeadPages.

Clickfunnels refer to these lead boxes as Clickpops.

Once created you are given code to embed the box onto a website or blog that you own.

Such pop up box can be added to your website as a link or an image which when clicked, causes the box to pop open. If you’d like the box to appear automatically such as on time or on exit then you can configure the settings to generate these actions.

LeadPages refer to these boxes as lead boxes. They essentially operate in the same way as Clickfunnels’ clickpops do.

LeadPages’ lead boxes can be embedded by a link, button or image. They can also appear on time and on exit.

Payment Integration

The two most popular payment gateways, Stripe and Paypal, can be used with both Clickfunnels and LeadPages, however PayPal does not integrate with either.

What this means is that when used, PayPal does not fully become part of Clickfunnels or LeadPages, so when payments are made, Clickfunnels or LeadPages’ automated features do not activate.

For example, when integrated with Stripe and a payment is made by a user, Clickfunnels or LeadPages would redirect to a thank you page within the funnel and if set up, will store the buyer’s details in their database.

When PayPal is used however, this does not happen. Whilst there are work-arounds, it is something you must be conscious of, if you want to use any buyer data from the platforms.

Clickfunnels goes a step further and integrates with and allows access to other payment options. Sadly LeadPages only stops at Stripe and PayPal.

Finally if you wish to use payment gateways with LeadPages, you must upgrade to a Pro or Advanced account which is $79/month when paid monthly ($48/month when paid annually) for the Pro and $321/month when paid monthly ($199/month when paid annually) for the Advanced.

Tracking Codes

One of the most important elements of your funnel, especially when you are using paid advertising, is tracking.

If you are using paid ad campaigns like Facebook ads, Google Adwords or any other platform, you are able to add your tracking codes or pixels to both Clickfunnels and LeadPages.

It is very easy to add, all you do is copy and paste the code into a section provided by the platforms.

A/B Testing

Both Clickfunnels and LeadPages allow you to perform split tests on your landing pages and funnels.

When setting up the split tests, they are both easy to implement for either of the platforms.

All you do is create your control, which is the first variation of your page. Then create a variation which is a variation of your control page.

Both Clickfunnels and LeadPages will take note of the conversions that you are testing and let you know which one is performing better.

You can then mark whichever page has the better conversions as the winner of the split test.

This is great if you want to see what type of factors affect your visitors and helps you improve the overall performance of your campaign.

Marketing Tools Integrations

Clickfunnels and LeadPages integrates with many other marketing tools to make your marketing efforts seamless.

Here is a full list of all the integrations that Clickfunnels has.

If the marketing tool that you are looking for is not on the lists, then you can safely assume that it does not integrate but you can use the Zapier tool to help you connect one tool to the other.

Zapier is a web-based service that allows you to perform integrations with many different applications.   

Campaign Analytics

One thing I like about Clickfunnels and LeadPages is that it provides reporting on the performance of your campaign.

So you can see how a funnel or landing page that you created is performing and helps you make important decisions for your campaign.

Depending on how many pages there are in your funnel, Clickfunnels provides analytics for every page of the funnel.

The difference with LeadPages however is that several pages can make up a funnel which needs to be pieced together.

In that regard you must piece together your analytics for each page – so you do not get one global oversight like Clickfunnels provides.

This makes it a little more difficult to judge the overall performance of your funnel if several pages make up your funnel with LeadPages.

Here is what that looks like.

WordPress Plugin

If you have a WordPress website or blog you can integrate both Clickfunnels and LeadPages with their respective plugins.

This will allow you to use either Clickfunnels or LeadPages funnels or pages directly on your website or blog so that it looks as though the funnel or page is part of your website or blog.

This is just another way of directing visitors from your website or blog to your funnel or landing page but instead of going to a Clickfunnel or LeadPages domain, the users remain at your website or blog’s domain but still see your funnel or landing page.

That’s a pretty cool feature.

Lead Notifications

LeadPages notifies you when you have generated a lead through one of your landing pages.

This is a great feature if you have many lead pages and you want to keep track of which one is helping you acquire leads.

It is not a major feature in my opinion as I am not too concerned about lead notifications but for those who want to know, you can receive these notifications directly to your email inbox.

Clickfunnels does not have this feature.

As I mentioned it is not a significant feature to have as you will have many emails notifying you of leads when you can simply log into the platform to check how the lead page is doing.

Dedicated Support

Clickfunnels and LeadPages both have support available but one is definitely a winner out of the two.

LeadPages offers phone, live chat and email ticket support. They also have a library of support documents in case you need any help and want to do it yourself.

Phone support is however only available with LeadPages Advanced package.

Clickfunnels only offers email ticket support. So if you have an urgent matter, then you’re pretty much screwed. You will need to submit your ticket and then wait for their support team to respond.

Usually responses can take a few hours and up to a day.

Email Autoresponder Integration

One important function of the funnel and lead page is the ability to capture leads and place them directly in your chosen email autoresponder.

Don’t yet have an email autoresponder? Here’s one that I reviewed that I currently use and recommend. 

Clickfunnels and LeadPages integrate with many email autoresponders and allows you to connect to them easily.

Here are all Clickfunnels’ email integrations.

Here are all LeadPages’ email integrations.

Once again, if you do not see your email service provider on the list, you can always use Zapier to integrate, provided Zapier allows the connection.

Sub Accounts

If you have a team working with you, you can assign them manager accounts where they have their own sub account and can work on projects for you.

This helps so you won’t have to give the worker, access to your username and password since doing so makes it very risky for you as the account holder since they can access your account settings and do anything with it.

LeadPages offers sub accounts only with their Advanced plan. That means you have to shell out a whopping $321/month or $199/month billed annually for this benefit. With their Advanced plan you get 5 sub accounts.

I noticed that Clickfunnels does have the feature but it appears non-functional.

Even when I searched for literature on the topic there was none.

I will assume that maybe it is a feature they intend to install in the future but not right now.

SEO Friendly Pages

Clickfunnels and LeadPages allow you to optimise your landing pages and funnels for SEO (search engine optimisation).

Although they both allow you to implement some on-page SEO I wouldn’t solely rely on this feature to help your landing pages or funnels show up in the search engines.

There are other things that you can do such as:

• Having your own domain and URL and including a keyword in that domain/URL.
• Use keywords in your funnel or landing page that you’d like to rank for
• Build a content map to help your funnel and landing pages align to the visitors needs and desires. Don’t just create a funnel for the sake of. Keep your visitor’s desires in mind.

Web Hosting

The great thing about both Clickfunnels and LeadPages is that they provide their own web hosting.

So when you purchase a package with either platform, you do not have to look for separate hosting.

Both Clickfunnels and LeadPages host your funnels and landing pages on their servers. The only thing though is that when you host your funnels and landing pages with them, you must take on their domain.

For example, if you build a funnel with Clickfunnels, then your domain will be www.yourdomain.clickfunnels.com. If you build a landing page with LeadPages, your domain will be www.yourdomain.lpages.co.

This can look ugly if you are promoting your funnel or landing page and you may prefer to have your page align with your brand.

For that reason you can always use their domain assignment feature so you can replace their domains with your own.

Looking for cheap domains? Try Namecheap, Godaddy or Bluehost.

Domain Assignment

Clickfunnels and LeadPages both help you assign a custom domain to your funnels and landing pages making it more personal and branded to you.

I would strongly recommend that when starting on either Clickfunnels or LeadPages that you purchase a custom domain and connect it to Clickfunnels or LeadPages.

That way it is easier for your audience to find your funnels and landing pages and helps you create an identity for you, instead of one affiliated with the Clickfunnels or LeadPages domains.

Whilst you can purchase a separate domain from places like Godaddy, Namecheap or Bluehost, Clickfunnels allows you to claim a domain for free directly from their company for first time users.

If you have already claimed the domain then you can buy it at the retail price of $20 annually.

Customised HTML

What if you have an application, form, display banner or miscellaneous item that you want to install on your website using HTML?

Well both Clickfunnels and LeadPages have HTML elements that you can add to your funnel and landing pages to easily add these items to your pages.

For example, on a landing page that I designed with LeadPages to promote an affiliate product, I was easily able to add this gif banner to my page through their HTML feature.

So instead of adding an image and linking the image to your affiliate product, you can select the html code for the banner that your affiliate manager will provide to you and embed it on your page.

You can find the HTML widget in your LeadPages widget area.

The same for Clickfunnels. You can add the HTML element to your pages from your Clickfunnels editor.

Digital Asset Delivery

If you do not have an email autoresponder which you can use for delivery of digital products, or you have no place to host your documents, LeadPages and Clickfunnels digital assets delivery feature, allow you to store your documents on their platform and enable delivery when a user takes a specific action.

For example if you have a lead magnet that you want delivered to a lead when they opt in to a funnel, you must first add your digital asset to Clickfunnels from the digital asset menu.

Then you must set up outgoing emails so that Clickfunnels can send the email on your behalf.

Finally you must add the digital asset to the page where the opt in is being performed. This will be your opt in page.

LeadPages makes this process a lot easier for us.

To add your digital asset to LeadPages and have it delivered to your lead you only need to add the digital asset to the opt in page settings and LeadPages takes care of the rest.

There is no need to upload the digital asset and then select it on different pages. There is also no need to setup email SMTP settings for outgoing emails.

Adding a digital asset in LeadPages is a one-step process therefore eliminating the time and confusion that you get with Clickfunnels.

One Click Upsells

If you sell your own products or have an ecommerce store, the one click upsell feature is a great tool to help you increase the average order value of each order placed in your funnel and increase conversions.

Whilst I have never used LeadPages one click upsell feature (so I cannot say how easy or difficult the process is), they do have instructions on how to integrate this feature into a funnel you are managing.

The instructions look pretty simple, but when I read through them I do not like the technicality of the instruction.

It may be simple if you follow along slowly and take your time. If you do struggle to implement an upsell into your LeadPages funnel you can always fall back on the LeadPages support team for help.

Clickfunnels is a very simple process. You only need to drag and drop an upsell page into your funnel, design your page, add your product and that’s it.

You do not need to worry about any configuration.

Clickfunnels does all the hard work for you, so everything works smoothly.

Membership Areas

One special feature that Clickfunnels has, which is not integrated with LeadPages are membership sites.

A membership site allows you to house digital products such as a video library, ebooks or courses where free or paid members can get access via a username and password.

At one point LeadPages did offer a Wishlist membership site to Annual Pro members back in 2014 but it looks like this has been discontinued.

In any event, even if you no longer have access to this product with LeadPages you can always connect a LeadPages sales page to Wishlist separately if you want to.

Wishlist is a WordPress plugin so you must have a WordPress site to use this product.

Clickfunnels though has membership site features integrated into it so if you think you may want to create a membership site where your paying customers can get access to your products then you may want to consider Clickfunnels over LeadPages.

Affiliate Center

Clickfunnels helps you to offer affiliate commissions to affiliates for a product that you are selling.

Their affiliate center is great if you believe you have a great product, but need to get the word out about it.

By setting up an affiliate center, you can have people sign up and so be able to control their access to your product as an affiliate to promote it on your behalf.

The affiliate center is only available with Clickfunnels Etison suite however, so be prepared to spend at least $297/month for this feature.

Who Is Clickfunnels vs LeadPages For?

So now that you know the main features of Clickfunnels and LeadPages, this all probably does not make sense to you, if you do not really know how each product can help you in your business.

That’s what the next section is for. Simply follow your business model and read my unbiased view as to whether Clickfunnels or LeadPages can help you.

Does Clickfunnels or LeadPages work for affiliate marketing?

As an affiliate myself, I know how important sales funnels are for building email lists and guiding traffic to your affiliate product.

Even if you do not want to build an email list and you want to promote your affiliate product with advertorial type blog posts then you can use either Clickfunnels or LeadPages for this.

Because the affiliate funnel would be a simple two step funnel then you do not need any complicated software.

Both Clickfunnels and LeadPages are perfect for this. It will be up to you to decide how much you want to spend on your marketing tool to achieve this.

Does Clickfunnels or LeadPages work for bloggers? 

Can Clickfunnels or LeadPages replace a blogger’s website? Yes it can, but it is not feasible and I certainly do not recommend the software for traditional blogging.

If however you want to create a one off blog post, like I did in my one blog post strategy for promoting a product, then the software is a good one.  

A blog comes with so many moving parts. You need navigation menus, the ability to post as many blog posts as you can, the ability to embed contact forms, etc; you really and truly need a conventional website.

This is why I would recommend that you use a content management site like WordPress.

If you are ready to build your blog then you can head on over to my step-by-step guide where I teach you how to build your blog using WordPress and Bluehost as your webhost.

If you already have a website or blog and you really want to use Clickfunnels or LeadPages then they can be used as a lead generation tool.

For example, you may wish to generate leads for the provision of content upgrades.

Clickfunnels and LeadPages allow you to embed code into your website where contact forms can be installed on your blog to generate leads.

In this regard Clickfunnels and LeadPages are beneficial to bloggers.

With both Clickfunnels and LeadPages you cannot add an inline contact form to your website but you can add a link or button which pops open to a contact form. Here is an example of what LeadPages looks like on my blog.

Bottom line?

Don’t use Clickfunnels or LeadPages for your blog but use them for your lead generation tools.

Does Clickfunnels or LeadPages work to sell physical or digital products? 

I would give this question a resounding yes. Clickfunnels and LeadPages are perfect if you want to sell a physical or digital product.

Because of price point, I use LeadPages for all my digital products – it is cost effective and achieves everything that I need, to create a great sales funnel to sell my products.

It can design great opt in pages, sales pages and has easy to implement payment and email integrations.

Although I do not use upsells in my LeadPages funnels, I cannot comment on the difference between LeadPages and Clickfunnels, but if you are looking to increase the average order value of each purchase with upsells, then you may wish to consider whether Clickfunnels or LeadPages will give you better value.

Yes both Clickfunnels and LeadPages are perfect for your own products.

Does Clickfunnels or LeadPages work for ecommerce? 

Typically people use ecom-dedicated platforms like Woocommerce or Shopify to sell their ecom products.

Ecom funnels are however becoming very popular especially since it can help you drive massive sales to your business by focusing on a few core products from your ecom store.

This ensures that the customer only sees the specific products that you want them to see and that they are not given an overwhelming number of options.

In my opinion, the best platform for the ecom funnel is Clickfunnels. This is because they have specific well-thought out templates designed for ecom and makes the set-up process easy.

Although LeadPages do have ecom templates they are not as sophisticated as Clickfunnels.

You can use LeadPages for a simple product sale but if you want to include multiple products and have one time offers, upsells or downsells then I would strongly recommend Clickfunnels.

Does Clickfunnels or LeadPages work for network marketers? 

Like affiliate marketing, where you do not own the product and you are promoting it, you can use Clickfunnels or LeadPages.

A two step funnel is ideal for promoting network marketing products, although some funnels can be simple – such as a lead opt in and thank you page; to more complicated – such as a lead opt in page and onboarding page.

To help you decide which platform to use you may want to consider ease of building the type of funnel and price point.

LeadPages can work very well for network marketing funnels and so you really do not need the sophisticated elements of Clickfunnels.

Bottom line?

I would recommend a simple platform like LeadPages for this type of funnel. It is up to you to decide which platform you eventually decide to use.

Whether it is for college, to invest in a bigger project, for spending at the shopping centre or buying food, clothes or video games.

I remember when I was in my teens, we did not have all the opportunities that exist right now, to make some spare change.

We relied on our parents for an allowance and even if we could go out and get a “small job” at the grocery store, it depended on whether we had spare time to do so.

All the online opportunities for teens to make money today, did not exist back then.

I am pleased to be able to share this list with you, so you can get some more ideas for your kids, if you are a parent or for yourself, if you are teenager.

1. Clean Houses

Teens who charge less than professional maid cleaning services or who assist established cleaners will be able to regularly earn money via this option.

To get started simply hand out flyers in your neighbourhood letting your neighbours know that you are interested. A more effective way is to go door-to-door and ask your neighbours if they need help cleaning their homes.

2. Babysitting

Although this has been included on lists of good jobs for teenagers for years, it should not be discounted as babysitters will always be needed regardless of changing job markets.

You may need some references if parents are going to trust you with their kids. I recommend that you start with one parent, do an awesome job and make sure you get a written reference letter. That way, you can use it to book more jobs with other parents.

3. Swagbucks

Using Swagbucks‘ search engine, earn teens Swagbucks, which, once accumulated, can be redeemed for gift cards. You can also earn free gift cards from shopping online, watching videos or taking surveys via the app.

Whilst you will not earn huge amounts of cash with Swagbucks, it’s a really nice way to get rewarded for doing the things you love.

4. Paper Delivery

Although the demand for paper deliverers is not as high as it used to be, people are still subscribing to newspapers and still need them delivered.

To find a job as a paper deliverer, you can start in the classified ads of your local newspaper. If you don’t see anything there then contact the newspaper by finding a contact number for their Circulation Department and enquire if they have any job openings.

If you are still not lucky, check the notice boards of your local grocery store to see if they are looking for “paper carriers” or “paper boys”.

5. InboxDollars

This online option provides an easy way to earn some money by providing feedback on a variety of things. Like Swagbucks, you can earn money for watching television online, shopping or taking survey.

Brands actually pay InboxDollars for customer input. InboxDollars find those customers and pay them for participating.

6. Create A Website

This is an especially good option for those already well-versed in navigating the online world. Options include starting a blog or website about subjects that teens and others are passionate about.

7. Pet Care

Similar to babysitting, this option provides teenagers with the opportunity to watch others’ pets. This can be while the owners are on vacation or simply to take the animals on walks.

To get started, ask neighbours or family members if they need help with pet-sitting.

8. Tutoring

Tutoring is something that can be done both online and offline. Any subject that a teen is knowledgeable about can be used as a tutoring focus.

If you are good at what you do and would like to start tutoring, I would recommend starting with a school. Contact the dean or principal of a school and find out if there are any tutoring opportunities for teenagers.

Online platforms that you can join include:

• SkillShare
• Udemy
• Skillholic (UPDATE: Skillholic’s website no longer works so I have removed the link.)
• myTutoring
• Tutor.com 

9. Start A YouTube Channel

This may not be an option that will result in immediate funds, but the potential is there for it to provide regular income if the number of viewers impresses to appreciable levels.

You can start a channel in a particular interest such as gaming, entertainment, sports, etc. then monetise it through YouTube’s Partner Program or through affiliate marketing or your own products.

10.  House Sitter

Knowing somebody that will have an empty house for a period of time can result in a teen being paid to watch it. This might require a few hours a day or simply moving in if it’s a holiday period.

Of course you need to be trusted by the person who hires you, so you may want to start with neighbours, friends or family.

11. Buy Low and Sell High

This may be basic economics, but not everybody is talented or willing enough to do it. Teens who know the true value of things can make money doing this.

The concept here is that you can buy items at a low price and sell them higher on sites like Amazon, Ebay or your own website.

This is how one 28-year old was able to make over a million dollars buying inexpensive items from Walmart and selling it on Amazon.

12. Create An Instagram Profile

Similar to YouTube, those who cultivate an extensive and engaged following on Instagram can receive pay or goods from interested parties for posts.

This does require a high following with a lot of engagement. Do not be tempted to buy your followers. I do however recommend an automated service which helps to connect you with real followers who are interested in your content.

These services engage with accounts with a high following and encourage those followers to follow you on Instagram. If your content is worthy then you will retain your audience. 

You can then monetise your audience through sponsored posts (people who will pay you to make a post on behalf of their company) or through affiliate marketing.

13. Bake Sale

Another oldie but goodie is a bake sale. Use a stellar recipe, bake something tasty like cookies, cake, cupcakes and start selling it.

You can set up a stall in front of your home or at a carnival if there are any. Make sure to ask your parents to find out if there are any food permits that you may need. 

If baking is not your forte then lemonade juice stalls are still teenagers’ favourites.

14. Wash Cars

All that is required to wash cars are buckets, soap, rags and a window cleaner.

Start in your neighbourhood by asking neighbours whether they want their cars washed. A good tactic is, if the local car wash charges $10 for a simple wash, then make your price lower, like $8 or $9.

15. Take Online Surveys

Several websites pay survey takers, providing another way to make money as a teenager. Some are open to those as young as 13, and many are geared to teenage-related topics.

Join as many survey sites as you can. Some great survey sites to try include:

• Vindale Research
• Survey Voices
• Pinecone Research
• Survey Junkie
• Survey Club
• Ipsos Panel 

16. Yard Sale

Another way to earn money is by selling the things that teens own, that they have grown out of and no longer have any interest in, at a yard sale.

Announce the yard sale to your local area, set up a stall and you’re good to go.

17. Work at a Restaurant

This is an option that has been around for a while, but it’s still a valid one for teens today. Both fast food and sit-down restaurants should be considered.

Restaurants looking to hire, usually have a noticeboard where they make the announcement. You can also visit your favourite restaurant and find out if they have any odd jobs that they are hiring for.

18. Camp Counselor

Although these are usually only available during the summer months, being a camp counselor is a great option for those looking for more money then.

You can look at school noticeboards to see when their camp is being held and enquire within as to whether they would want a camp counselor.

19. Mow Lawns

Another seasonal opportunity is mowing lawns. Many adults prefer to just pay someone to mow their lawn than do it themselves and are happy to see a teen offer.

Getting lawn mowing jobs usually start in the neighbourhood so ask your neighbours whether they need any assistance with their lawns and offer a fair price for the job.

20. Fiverr

One of the best paying jobs for teens is working with Fiverr. This option is an especially promising one for those talented with things like drawing, video making or writing.

There are many small business owners who go to Fiverr to find people who can perform creative tasks for them. You can set your own price and accept as many jobs as you want.

21. Etsy

Teens who are talented at making crafts should sell their creations on Etsy. Things bought at thrift stores or created digitally can be sold here too.

22. Upwork

This is another great option for teens ages 18 and 19. It’s best for those who have talent in things like writing, graphic and web design.

Similar to Fiverr, you set your own prices here and can accept as many jobs as you can.

23. eBay

Those who are wondering how to make money as a teenager should also consider eBay. Just about anything can be sold here.

If you don’t know where to find products to buy, look around your house for fairly used items and list it on eBay. You can also sell brand new items, so buy inexpensive goods from stores like Walmart or Target and sell it at a profit on eBay.

24. Tumblr Theme Creator

Teens who already spend a bit of time at Tumblr, likely know how to design quality themes and, as a result, can earn some money creating those for others.

25. Shopify eCommerce Store

A list of high paying jobs for teens would not be complete without this one. Users can create an eCommerce store and sell products there.

When you start an eCommerce store you can employ the drop-shipping method, where you do not keep goods in stock, but instead transfer your customer orders and shipping details to a manufacturer who will fulfil the order for you.

26. Grocery Store Employee

Every community other than the smallest ones has at least one grocery store, and teens are generally a significant percentage of their work forces.

Start with your local grocery or supermarket and see if they are hiring.

27. Referee or Umpire

Playing the mediator in a variety of youth sporting events is another option for earning money for teens. Maybe your local sports club or school is looking for referees.

Start there.

28. Movie Theater Worker

Many of those creating lists of how to earn money as a teenager will include this famous one as movie theatres regularly hire teens for a number of positions.

From ushers, to food stall workers to cleaners. Apply to your local movie theater and see what they have to offer.

29. Music Xray

This website provides teens with the opportunity to earn money by listening to music and sharing their opinions on it.

Music Xray connects new music to potential fans and compensates you for your time and attention when you listen to it.

30. Assisting the Elderly

Helping out the elderly is another great way for teens to earn money as many seniors either need to remain home or simply prefer to do so.

If you have an elderly neighbour you can ask if they need assistance with household chores and work out a pay scale where they can pay you for your time.

If your neighbourhood is not ideal, then focus on your local home for the elderly and see if they have any openings that you can apply for.

31. CafePress

CafePress offers teens the opportunity to sell designs for things like shirts, pillows and coffee mugs. This is a marketplace that allows their customers to buy unique print on demand products.

32. Userlytics

Mobile apps use Userlytics to pay teens and adults to use, test them and provide their opinions on what worked, what didn’t and what could be improved.

Small start up owners and even larger corporations, use Userlytics to get customer insights into their websites, prototypes, advertisements or videos before it is released to the public.

Testers get paid differing amounts from $5 and even up to $90 for their feedback.

33. Scanner

As the world becomes more and more digital, many older people have photographs that they want digitized. Consider offering this as a service to help those people who are not so savvy with computers and the internet.

All you need is a scanner and a sign that says you’re opened for business.

34. Genealogy Researcher

Many teenagers do quality genealogical research, much of which can be done online. Being a genealogy researcher does not require any type of formal degree but research skills do give you an advantage.

If you would like to become a researcher, it is recommended that you participate in many genealogical conferences. These conferences will help you educate yourself so you are ready to take clients.

35. Online Customer Service

Companies such as U-Haul regularly hire teens 16 and older as customer service representatives who work from home via a high-speed internet connection and headset.

Most customer service representatives help customers with their questions and educating them about the company’s products. If you are interested in applying for online customer service jobs a quick Google search can bring back numerous results.

Teenagers of any age can earn money at Jingit by doing things like watching online ads and taking surveys.

Simply sign up for Jingit, watch videos, give your feedback and earn instant cash. (UPDATE: Jingit’s website no longer works so I have removed the link.)

37. ThredUP

If gently used clothing from places like Banana Republic and J. Crew are in a teen’s closet, selling it at ThredUP is a great option for earning money.

ThredUp is an online consignment and thrift store that allows you to sell high quality second hand clothing.

So if you’re having a clear out, simply bag your items, leave it for the mail carrier and once your items are processed you will receive cash for any clothing that ThredUp accepts.

38. Amazon Turk

Those who are 14 or older are eligible to earn money by performing a variety of small tasks for Amazon Turk.

How it works, small companies that have computer-based tasks, hire you to perform simple tasks that you can do better than a computer.

39. Lifeguard

This is an opportunity that is normally, but not always seasonal. Pools regularly hire lifeguards while some beaches do so as well.

If you know how to swim and wish to help out at a local community swimming pool, then be sure to contact the Pool Manager to see if they hire.

40. Amusement Park Employee

Many amusement parks prefer hiring teens as they tend to have a lot in common with the clientele that they are looking to attract.

Amusement park work can be a great way to pass time as well as be part of a fun environment.

41. Music Lessons

Teens who are musically talented can earn money teaching others how to improve their own skills. You can provide lessons in private, such as one-on-one tutor style, or you can teach a class at a summer school. 

A good start will be at a local school or even in your own neighbourhood where you can advertise with flyers that you provide music lessons.

42. Athletic Coach

Teens can often earn money by coaching sports teams comprised of children who are usually younger than them. You may already perform well in a sports club and want to help other students improve their performance.

Check your sports club or local school to see if they would be interested in hiring you.

43. Avon

Teenagers, like adults, can earn money selling Avon makeup.

Avon is a direct selling company that sells beauty, household and personal care products. To earn money selling Avon products, you must join as a direct sales consultant where you will be provided with a sales consultant starter kit.

You can then refer people to your website where, once a purchase is made, you earn a commission.

44. Farmers Market

A local farmers market is a great venue for a teenager to earn money. This can be done by bringing things like baked goods or arts and crafts to sell.

45. Qriket

Another online option for earning money that is available for teenagers is this one. Participants watch short ads and spin a wheel to determine the amount earned.

To start you must download their free app. Spin the wheel to join a live game show and then play to earn points. Whoever has the most points win cash prizes.

46. Collect Cans and Bottles

Bringing cans and bottles to recycling centers or grocery stores is one of the ways for teens to make money that is not restricted by age.

Before you start collecting cans and bottles make sure that the recycling centers and grocery stores in your area offer cash incentives for disposing of your collection. 

47. Snow Shoveling

Of course, this one only applies in certain climates, but for teens who live in snowy locales, snow shoveling is a great way to combine getting a good workout with earning some extra money.

48. Slicethepie

This is another website that pays listeners to enjoy some music and provide brief reviews about them. Slicethepie also offers money for reviews on fashion and mobile phone accessories.

Your feedback goes directly to help artists, record labels and brands make decisions about their businesses.

49. Manage Social Media for Businesses

Many teens are so engaged with social media that they can provide quite a value for local businesses who will pay them for their services.

If you can manage a social media account like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, then there’s a small business that is wanting to pay you money for it.

To find these businesses you can use sites like Fiverr, PeoplePerHour or Upwork. You set your own rate and can determine how often you work.

50. Play an Instrument

Talented teen musicians can often earn money by setting up in a public place and playing, leaving a case, hat or cup out for donations to be placed in.

This task may involve stepping outside your comfort zone but in addition to receiving donations, the likelihood of being discovered by artists, talent buyers and even record label CEOs is high, just as these now-famous celebrities learnt.

There you have it, over 50 ways that teenagers can make money too. A little bit of online work and offline work to keep you busy.
