If it has happened to you a billion times, then do not be surprised. It has happened to everyone including me and you would be pleased to know that it is not uncommon.

You Are Always In Control And You Should Know That

People sometimes get distracted and forget about what you say. After all life gets in the way. But when you have followed up with your prospect a hundred times, do you just leave them alone?

Do not allow your prospects to take control of the process. After all, this is your game and you should always be in the lead. An effective way of finding out if the prospect is still with you or not is simply put it to them.

There are follow up strategies that I have used in the past that were not effective as this one. In fact most of my follow up messages were ignored or even deleted except for this one. This one message made the most noise and forced people to respond.

How To Follow Up With Your Prospect That Is Bound To Get A Response

I love it and include it all the time when I realise people are reading my messages and then not responding.

The reason why I love this message is that it allows me to have the final word. Well unless the prospect chooses to respond, which they almost will.

It also positions you as a person of power and influence. When you say something and you get people actually responding to you, it means that they have every respect for you. It is simply a reflection of who you are. If you treat your business as a professional, powerhouse that it should be, then your prospects will do the same.

Your messages should therefore have the same tone. Do not allow your prospects to walk all over you. You have the key baby and you should definitely be using it! Lol

The Final Follow Up Script

Here is the script that I have been using to successfully turn my follow up messages from crickets to raving comebacks. You can easily adapt this script to both your warm and cold markets by adding a few personal touches for your warm market.

It goes like this:

Cold Market

Hey, so you still haven’t come back to me about the [offer or product]. That’s ok though. It’s all good. I just wanted to let you know that I’m taking you off my list as this probably isn’t the right fit for you. No problem really. I do wish you all the best in whatever you decide. Take care.

For your cold market, the reason why I feel this works, is because it exudes a little bit of confidence without making the prospect feel like you’re begging them to take the action they said they were going to take.

It also makes you look like whether they consider the opportunity or not, does not really matter to you.

You never want to make your prospects feel like you are desperate for the sale, even if you may be.

Allow them to feel like they are just one fish in a pond of many and you can easily go after another catch if you did not manage to net them the first time.

Warm Market

For your warm market I mentioned adding some personal touches. Here is what I would say:

Hey girl (or fella), what’s up? It’s been a long time since we chatted. Hey I was coming back to you really quickly as I noticed you never said anything about the [offer or product] you said you’d look at. Right now I have some people joining me and I want to give them my dedicated attention so I am going to assume that you won’t be one of them and maybe this isn’t the right fit for you. So you know what, I’m gonna take you off my list and I won’t speak to you about this again. Oh by the way, really nice pics I see you uploaded there. Let’s talk about it over coffee sometime.

Friends or family run away from you when you have told them about a product they are not interested in, not because they want to be spiteful but because they simply do not know how to reject you without causing too much hurt.

Do The Work For Your Prospects

powerful position follow up By taking the weight off their shoulders, I bet they are going to feel very relieved that you did the dirty deed for them.

Like the cold market script, it also shows that you have enough business to let go of the stragglers, thereby putting you in a powerful position.

By using these scripts, I am pretty sure you would have broken the ice. Look out for that apology or even an estimation as to when they might be able to check out your product or offer.

It works like a charm for me most times.

Never over complicate things. Network marketing is simpler than we think it is and all it takes is a bit of creativity. Now all those prospects that you have who never returned a call or message, use this strategy and let me know how it went for you.
