If you want to start a business and make a high profit, you MUST invest in that business.

Whether that is time investment or money investment, there must still be some type of investment that you can offer to make your business work.

If you ask any business owner today, how much they spent on their business to get started, you would expect to hear thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

But there are some businesses that have recently taken off, where the investment that you put in, is very small.

It is these type of businesses that I want to talk about today, to offer you some great business ideas with low investment and high profit.

Whilst a business does cost money, I do not want to make you believe that your expenses will be minimal. I want you to remember one thing – as you make money in your business, be prepared to reinvest it, to make more.

If you have a vision to one day make a high profit from your business, but you really do not have sufficient funds to start, then check out the following businesses ideas that you can start with a low investment but get a high profit in return.

#1 Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is by far, the quickest and easiest way to start a business with low investment and make a liveable income.

In some cases, you can start an affiliate marketing business, with no money. For example, you can join an affiliate network and select affiliate products that you would like to promote. This action is free of charge to you.

You may then want to begin promoting those products on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.

In other cases, it may cost you a little bit of money to get started, if you decided that you wanted to start affiliate marketing by building websites and promoting the affiliate products on those websites.

Of course if you decided to take this step, then you will need to pay for a domain and web hosting. The good news however, is that this cost is typically less than $200 and covers you for a period of three years with some web host providers. So when you calculate it, it is less than $70 per year or less than $20 per month.

We are currently in the digital age, where you can find most things online and many platforms have made it easy for the average user. They have even extended this to starting an online business, thus making the idea of starting a business, a low investment option.

Most online companies have pretty much given you all the tools you need to get started, so all you really have to do, is sign up, add whatever content you want and start promoting your business.

Ecommerce is one of those business models that you can start with a low investment and high profit. That’s because, in today’s time, with the vast amount of technology available and the ability to easily communicate worldwide, it is simple to stock an eCommerce store, without holding inventory first.

Before now, if you wanted to create an eCommerce business, you had to worry about purchasing inventory upfront and perhaps holding that inventory in a warehouse. Before you even sold an item, you probably had to put out a lot of money.

Shopify actually helped me earn $7.5k in revenue in one month alone and I knew NOTHING about eCommerce back then!

They take care of your website hosting, website design and collecting customer’s payment details.

If you are also anxious about the idea of stocking inventory and shipping orders, then you have little to worry about!

Drop-shipping has made it convenient for you to access products in your niche and have them sent to your customers on your behalf.

So you really need not hold any inventory. The supplier of the drop-shipping company does that for you AND also fulfils the order for you.

So how can you get started with eCommerce?

Well Shopify is one of the easiest platforms to work with. They have a 14-day free trial then it is under $80 for their recommended package.

Network marketing is also known as multilevel marketing and is similar to affiliate marketing. You are promoting another company’s products in exchange for a commission after a sale.

The difference is, the network marketer relies on a network of people or a team to grow their business.

With network marketing, under this type of business model, you are responsible for getting customers and distributors or consultants, in order to earn money.

Whilst you can earn money from the sale of products alone, you earn a bigger income when you grow a network, making this option a highly profitable business idea you can start.

Therefore, if you are a people person and like the idea of training, motivating and managing a team; then this is one of the business ideas with low investment and high profit that I recommend you consider.

There are many network marketing companies that you can find on the internet. All you need to do, is do a Google search and you will find them.

Most companies are free to join and also cost no more than $100 to start.

I find that most companies are in the weight loss industry, like It Works Global, Forever Living Products or Juice Plus.

There are also cosmetic network marketing companies like Younique, Mary Kay or Avon.

Whatever your passion, there is bound to be a network marketing company for you to join and I will give you these tips when selecting a company:

Join a company in a niche that you’re passionate about
Try the products first as a customer and if you like it become a distributor; it will be easier to sell the product this way.

There are so many bloggers in the world that are finding success from the weirdest niches that you can think of, that I would say that anyone can start a blog in any niche.

In order to make blogging a high profit business, you should think about ways that you can help people solve a problem and then create a resource that they can turn to, your blog, to help them find information to solve those problems.

You can literally start a blog in any niche but if you want to first consider profitable niches then my blog post here will give you a starting guide.

One thing you should remember, is that the most profitable niches however can be competitive.

For less competitive blog niches, first do research to find out whether there are many people who have a problem that needs to be solved, then create a blog around solving those problems.

Some less competitive, smaller but highly profitable blog niche ideas are:

As a compliment to blogging, many blog owners go on to create digital products to sell on their blogs.

However you do not need a blog to start a digital product business. If you have a skill that you feel the world needs to know about, or you have information that you would like to share, then you can easily create a digital product and sell it to an audience.

In fact, the number of digital product creators that I have seen emerge recently is untypically large compared to ten years ago.

25 Ways To Start A Business Without Investment

The number of times I have seen people ask about starting an online business for free.

Let me tell you; any business is an investment. You must be able to put money into a business and yourself in order to see results.

If you cannot accept that concept then you need to ask yourself whether an online business is for you.

If however you are like me, business-minded and you have an idea that you envision will bring great results, then finding the start up cost is much easier than you think.

All it requires is thinking outside of the box and I share with you some ideas that you can act on to get the capital to invest in your very first online venture.

Now most businesses have no-start up costs, allowing you to earn an income then reinvest that income into your business to grow it.

There are other businesses that have start-up costs as low as $1 and can reach as high as $3000.

Whatever the starting point, I share with you the ways in which you can start your online business at no cost to you by getting the money from other sources.

1. Online Surveys

Do you have time to spare? People value your opinion and want to pay you for a review. Websites like SurveySavvy and Opinion Outpost will pay as little as $1 and as much as $15 for your opinion. You can quickly complete enough surveys in a short space of time to get the start up cash that you need to start your online business.

2. Sell Used Electronic Items

Electronic items are highly valued, especially if it is in a good condition and usable. Gazelle.com is a neat website that gives the potential value for your item. They also pay you for your used or broken devices, taking the selling out of the equation for you.

3. Trade In Your Un-Used Gift Cards

Maybe you won a gift card at work or someone gifted you it but you do not use it. You can sell your unwanted gift cards on Cardpool. You will not get the full monetary value but at least it is worth something instead of having them sit there unused.

4. Pawn Your Goods

Do you own any jewellery that you no longer use. You can have it pawned and get some quick cash. You will not get the retail price but something better than nothing to go towards your business investment.

5. Sell Your Junk

The number of times I have had a clear out and have sold unwanted items on Ebay or Craigslist. You may think that the item is absolute trash but give it a try. List it on either one of those sites and see what value you can eek out of it from people who actually want your junk. People buy all sorts on Ebay and Craigslist. This is the perfect opportunity to make some extra cash to invest in your business.

6. Sell Other People’s Items

How this works is that you buy low priced items and mark up the value of it and resell it. This is how one woman was able to buy a vintage vanity item worth $5, repair it and resale it for $125. Instant money in your pocket which you can now use to invest in your business.

Are you crafty? Etsy is the place to sell your craft ideas and turn them into cash. If making crafts is an ongoing hobby then this can be your cash source for anything business related.

If you are on a tight budget and do not have that extra cash after you have spent a ton on those killer jeans you liked, then it is ok to return them. Ask for a refund. If you are serious about starting a business then sacrifices like this one will be worth it.

Extra cash on the job is one of the best and most convenient places to earn your start up cost. Many people hate having to go to a job in the first place, but if starting a business is going to help you get out of that job, make the best of it now. Tell your supervisor that you are available for extra work and get paid. Let quitting your job be your motivation.

An ideal way to squeeze money out of your own employer is to take advantage of their employee referral program. Do they pay for your referrals? If yes, start referring your friends or family for job vacancies.

Websites like Upwork allow you to pitch your services for these simple jobs to professionals or business owners who do not want to do the work themselves. You can offer your service for as low as $5 an hour. Pick up many jobs on this job website and you will have your start up business cost in no time.

19. Write A Blog Post

Are there blogs that you have an interest in and have knowledge of the subject matter? Blog owners will actually pay you to write an article for them. You can earn up to $20 per blog post. Write five and you will have that $100 to invest in your online business.

20. Website Design

Is website designs your forte? Charge to design a website for the next person who knows little about the subject. If you offer a competitive rate you will see how many small business owners will use you as opposed to investing thousands in a top design company.

21. Cut Out The Luxury

Do you really need to watch cable TV? Is that Spotify membership absolutely necessary. Review some of your monthly expenses and see where you can cut to redirect that cash to your online business venture.

22. No More Branded Food Products

Instead of thinking brands, go for store brands which are a lot less cheaper. Can you cut your grocery bill in half? Sometimes we have to make sacrifices to fund our dreams and this is a surefire way where you have complete control to saving an extra $100 a month to fund your online business start up cost.

23. Create A Logo

With so many people starting their own online business, there is a high demand for creative logos. Learn Photoshop and advertise your skill on Fivrr.com.
