Herculist

The Herculist safelist is a branded safelist that promotes your offer to its members. It operates in the same way as a solo ad would but there are key differences to this type of email list.

What Is A Safelist?

A safelist is an email list where you can email other members of the safelist. It is an online database of people, usually internet marketers, who have given permission to the owner of the safelist, that they may receive offers to their email on a daily basis.

The offers include any type of offer for the sale of a product or service but most safelists offer business opportunities or internet marketing offers to help people make money online.

How a safelist works, is the owner of the safelist will create a list of its members. In the case of the Herculist safelist, this list makes up 78,385 members.

If any new person decides to join Herculist to receive their emails, then that
number will go up.

The members of the safelist will give permission to the owner of the safelist to receive email offers from other members.

As the members of the safelist are usually internet marketers, they are receiving other internet marketers’ offers. For that reason a safelist is self-serving as usually your aim is to advertise your offer but in return you receive someone else’s offer to consider.

It is because of this, that most people try to avoid safelists but later on in this post I will explain to you why you should not rule out safelists.

The Difference Between A Safelist And A Solo Ad

If you are an internet marketer, you probably have already heard about solo ads. Solo ads are also email lists but there is a stark contrast between a safelist and a solo ad.

A solo ad is a list of subscribers who have voluntarily asked for more information about a particular subject. The list of subscribers are not offering their own offer in return (if they have one). This is the difference.

In the case of internet marketing, the list of subscribers may genuinely be interested in internet marketing and are happy to get more information about this topic if it will help them solve a problem.

If an offer they receive helps them solve a problem then they will buy the product or service.

What You Need To Know About Safelists

If you still want to use safelists then there are a few things you should know about them:

  • Safelists are inexpensive compared to solo ads and you can get great results if you know how to use them effectively. (I will provide more on this topic later on).
  • Not all safelists are made equal. You may have already researched The Top 10 Safelists and found some others but in order to test which one gives the best results, you must track the performance of your safelists. A great way to track the performance of your safelists is by using a link tracking software called Clickmagick. This tool will help you add tracking pixels to your lead capture pages so you can track which safelist is giving you more opt ins for your internet marketing offer. Are you using the best lead capture page for your business? • Safelists are great if you are just starting internet marketing but if you want sustainability in your business, then it is better to use solo ads or other advertising methods such as Facebook Ads or Google Ads. These advertising platforms will allow you to scale your business faster and earn more money. Facebook Ads can be very profitable to your business as it allows you to reach more people who may be interested in your offer. I got a glimpse of this first hand when I was able to generate tons of leads and sales to my business after implementing the strategies I used in the Social Traffic Blueprint Facebook Ads course. This course does offer a free video training which you can access here (update! The course is no longer available) but once you have learnt more about this traffic source you may eventually want to include it as part of your internet marketing efforts.
  • If you tried a safelist and it has not yielded the results you expected, then try again. Most advertising campaigns do not give good results the first time. It is all about improving your ad and giving it another shot.

How To Use The Herculist Safelist Effectively

Safelists were the first advertising campaigns I used when I started internet marketing and I did get great results.

In fact the only safelist that gave me more leads and sales was the Herculist safelist. I have also seen many other internet marketers provide the same review of the Herculist safelist – it is the best and most responsive.

Safelists work best when you send your offer to larger quantities.

Therefore you may get a better response if you email 80,000 contacts as opposed to 1000 contacts.

If you are using the Herculist safelist for the first time, then I would strongly recommend that you use their Pro or Gold package so you can send your offer to all 78,385 members making your chances of getting a sale, higher.

Why I Recommend Herculist

The reason why I recommend Herculist is because I have gotten a decent number of leads and generated sales into my business.

The image above shows one of many emails I have received from my current business op The Four Percent Group. [Update: I am no longer promoting The Four Percent Group and have now created my own business model by using my blog to make money.] Look where the lead came from!

This lead resulted in a $100 sale for me and I only spent $49.95 as a Pro member for the year.

Because of my Pro membership I continue to use the Herculist safelist and I have gotten multiple $100 sales from people looking for business opportunities.

It is one of those email lists which are low budget traffic so if you are not ready to be so spendy on traffic just yet, then the Herculist safelist is a great choice for you.

It is a free to join membership site. As a free member you can send your offer to 1000 members only.

However to get the best results it is highly recommended that you send your offer to more than 10,000 members as this is how safelists work.

10,000 and above is the magic number

To send your offer to more members then you will need to upgrade to the Pro or Gold membership or pay a one-off fee for the service.

Pro membership costs $49.95 for the year or $9.95 per month. You will be able to submit an email post every 48 hours to over 77,000 members.

Gold membership costs $89.95 for the year or $14.95 per month. You will be able to submit an email post every 24 hours to over 77,000 members.

If you are a Pro or Gold member, your traffic using safelists will be covered for the entire year and the potential to make sales is endless.

As a quick tip, if you are struggling to get leads with safelists, do not be quick to blame the list. Take a look at your website or capture page, do some tweaking, then try again.

Join Herculist

To join Herculist you will need two Gmail email address.

They recommend Gmail as it allows better deliverability of emails. If you do not have a Gmail account, then I would recommend that you create one.

The Gmail accounts are one for all emails that you will receive from members. Do not use a personal account. It is better to create a separate email account for this as you can receive hundreds of emails each day.

For example my email inbox has over 23000 emails from safelist members. Emails from safelists come to your inbox almost every minute.

Once you have joined Herculist then you can test their traffic by sending your offer to its members. Remember the higher numbers get better results.
